摘要： The present invention provides a confidential information management system which allows users to securely obtain confidential information files containing various confidential information, which files are securely stored in the present system, anywhere and anytime, using a minimum of confidential information. A confidential information file and encoding/decoding software are downloaded to an information terminal from a confidential information managing server and an encoding/decoding software managing server, respectively, so that the confidential information file is decoded on the information terminal by using the encoding/decoding software. The present system is applicable to various (computer) systems which store and manage confidential information (ID numbers, passwords, encryption keys, digital certificates, etc.) for use in user verification.

摘要： A dictionary in which a character train serving as a processing unit upon compression has been registered is stored into a character train dictionary storing unit. In a character train comparing unit, the registration character train in the character train dictionary storing unit and a partial character train in non-compression data are compared, thereby detecting the coincident partial character train. A code output unit allocates a predetermined code every partial character train detected by the character train comparing unit and outputs. The character train dictionary storing unit allocates character train codes of a fixed length of 17 bits to about 130,000 words and substantially compresses a data amount to the half or less irrespective of an amount of document data.

摘要： A data compressing technique and a data decompressing technique provide a compressing dictionary storing unit for storing a compressing dictionary usable when data to be compressed is compressed, a compressing dictionary use or non-use deciding unit for deciding whether the compressing dictionary is to be used or not when the data to be compressed is compressed, and a coding unit for coding the data to be compressed on the basis of the compressing dictionary when the compressing dictionary use or non-use deciding unit decides the compressing dictionary is to be used, whereas not coding but outputting the data to be compressed when the compressing dictionary use or non-use deciding unit decides the compressing dictionary is not to be used, thereby stably achieving a preferable compression ratio for a small quantity of data such as text data in a text file.

摘要： A data compressing/decompressing apparatus is suitable for compressing data containing plural-byte characters, for instance, a Japanese language text. The data compressing/decompressing apparatus owns a homonym dictionary in which KANJI-character idioms, KANJI-character-reading, and homonym discrimination information are stored in correspondence with each other. This data compressing/decompressing apparatus converts a KANJI-character idiom contained in declarative sentence data into phonetic data, and further compresses this phonetic data to output the compressed phonetic data. The phonetic data is such data that this KANJI-character idiom is replaced by information constituted by character number discrimination information indicative of the character number about KANJI-character idiom reading, the reading thereof, and the homonym discrimination information thereof.
