Abstract:
A bicycle brake assembly includes a brake unit, a fixing structure and an alignment structure. The brake unit includes first and second brake arms. The fixing structure is configured to operatively couple the brake unit to a brake supporting portion of a bicycle frame. The alignment structure is disposed in the vicinity of the fixing structure. The alignment structure is configured to align the brake unit to the brake supporting portion.
Abstract:
A bicycle wheel securing structure includes a shaft member, a head member, a first wheel securing device, a second wheel securing device, a first lever member and a second lever member. The shaft member has first and second end portions and a longitudinal center axis. The head member is coupled at the second end portion. The first wheel securing device is positioned at the second end portion. The second wheel securing device positioned at at least one of the first and second end portions. The first lever member is operatively connected to the first wheel securing device to move the first wheel securing device in response to movement of the first lever member. The second lever member is operatively connected to the second wheel securing device to move the second wheel securing device in response to movement of the second lever member.
Abstract:
A master cylinder assembly for a hydraulic bicycle braking system that includes a master cylinder having a first end and a second end, a first piston having a first end and a second end disposed in and movable within the master cylinder, a second piston disposed in and movable within the master cylinder, and a modulator configured to modulate a first pressure that is applied to the second end of the first piston.
Abstract:
A derailleur apparatus for a bicycle component includes an actuating arm having a fastener opening and a fastener disposed in the fastener opening. The fastener includes a head and a shank including a locking portion disposed in the fastener opening and a threaded portion disposed between the head and the locking portion so that a space for receiving a cable therein is formed between the locking portion and the head. A locking member is disposed at the locking portion of the fastener for locking the fastener to the actuating arm.
Abstract:
A hydraulic assembly for a hydraulic disc brake system that includes a housing defining a cylinder, a piston received in and moveable within the cylinder, a first lever operatively associated with one of the piston or the cylinder, and a second lever operatively associated with the other of the piston or the cylinder. Moving the first lever pushes one of the piston or the cylinder in a first direction, and moving the second lever pulls the other of the cylinder or the piston in a second direction. In a preferred embodiment, the piston has a non-actuated position and a fully actuated position, and the piston is biased towards the non-actuated position, and wherein the cylinder has a non-actuated and a fully-actuated position, and the cylinder is biased towards the non-actuated position.
Abstract:
A bicycle derailleur includes a mounting member, at least one linkage member, a movable chain guide and a chain guide tensioning mechanism. The mounting member is configured to be attached to a bicycle frame. The linkage member is supported to the mounting member. The movable member is movably coupled to the mounting member via the linkage member. The chain guide is pivotally connected to the movable member to pivot about a pivot axis that extends through the movable member. The chain guide also supports a guide pulley and a tension pulley. The chain guide tensioning mechanism is supported to the movable member at a point spaced apart from the pivot axis configured to bias the chain guide in a direction about the pivot axis.

Abstract:
A bicycle derailleur comprises a base member adapted to be mounted to a bicycle, a movable member movably coupled to the base member, and a chain guide coupled to the movable member. The chain guide is coupled for rotation around a rotational axis (X), and a biasing element biases the chain guide in a selected rotational direction. A resistance applying unit applies a resistance to rotational movement of the chain guide in a direction opposite the selected rotational direction, and an adjusting unit adjusts an amount of resistance applied by the resistance applying unit.
