Abstract:
A child proof closure including an outer cap having a set of spaced apart apertures extending through a top surface of the outer cap, an inner cap dimensioned and configured to be assembled within the outer cap having a set of spaced apart receivers corresponding to the at least one set of spaced apart apertures of the outer cap, and a key having a set of spaced apart projections dimensioned and configured to be inserted through the spaced apart apertures of the outer cap to engage the spaced apart receivers of the inner cap when the spaced apart apertures of the outer cap are vertically aligned with the spaced apart receivers of the inner cap for unscrewing the assembled closure from the container by turning the key.
Abstract:
A method for providing custom information to a user of a reversible child resistant closure includes maintaining a supply of closures, each closure including a first section configured to be applied to the container in a non-child resistant mode, a second section configured to be applied to the container in a child resistant mode, and a divider for forming a first section cavity and a second section cavity. One of the closures of the supply is configured to include printed information by inserting a first liner having indicia printed thereon in the first section cavity such that the indicia of the first liner is visible when the closure is installed in the child resistant mode and inserting a second liner having indicia printed thereon in the second section cavity such that the indicia of the second liner is visible when the closure is installed in the non-child resistant mode.

Abstract:
A closure system includes a container and a closure. The container including a rim extending perpendicular to the side wall, the rim including a locking lug extending from an upper surface of the rim and a break disposed in the rim adjacent to the locking tab, the break operable to form a deflectable locking portion of the rim. The closure including a side wall, a flange extending perpendicular to the side wall, and a locking lug disposed within the flange for engaging the corresponding locking lug of the container. The flange substantially covers the upper surface of the rim of the container and includes a gap portion disposed adjacent to the locking lug for allowing a user to deflect the deflectable locking portion of the container through the gap portion in the flange to disengage the locking lug of the container from the locking lug of the closure.
Abstract:
A closure is provided having a first section and a second section. The first section includes a first circumferential side wall and a non-child resistant engaging mechanism disposed adjacent the first circumferential side wall. The second section includes a second circumferential side wall and a child resistant engaging mechanism disposed adjacent the second circumferential side wall. A divider wall is disposed between the first circumferential side wall and the second circumferential side wall for closing an opening of the container when the closure is installed on the container. The divider wall forms a first section cavity and a second section cavity. A liner is disposed in at least one of the first section cavity and the second section cavity adjacent the divider wall, the liner including liner indicia printed thereon and a tab element extending away from the divider wall for enhancing removal of the liner from the closure.

Abstract:
A closure system includes a non-child resistant cap configured to screw on and off a container in a non-child resistant mode. The system further includes a child resistant element configured to be able to be assembled with the non-child resistant cap to convert the non-child resistant cap to a child resistant cap permitting a push-down-and-turn action to remove the child resistant cap from a container. A child proof element is separate from the child resistant element is configured to be able to be assembled with the non-child resistant cap to convert the non-child resistant cap to a child proof cap requiring a key to remove the child proof cap from a container.

Abstract:
A closure having a child resistant mode and a non-child resistant mode includes a circumferential side wall having an interior surface, a first section, a second section, and a solid divider. The solid divider is disposed between the first section and the second section for closing an opening of the container when the closure is installed on the container in the non-child resistant mode and the child resistant mode. In certain embodiments, a first liner is disposed in the first section such that the first liner is visible when the closure is installed on the container in the child resistant mode. A second liner is disposed in the second section such that the second liner is visible when the closure is installed on the container in the non-child resistant mode.
