Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed to deploying a distributed system using operating system or container virtualization. An example apparatus includes a management container including a configuration manager and a container manager. The example configuration manager is to receive an instruction for a desired deployment state and is to apply a first change to a first current deployment state of the management container based on the desired deployment state. The example container manager is to apply a second change to a second current deployment state of a deployed container based on the desired deployment state. The container manager is to return information indicative of the desired deployment state to the configuration manager when the second change from the second current deployment state to the desired deployment state is achieved.

Abstract: Persistent connections are provided between components in a container environment. A hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) client may include a monitoring service and a proxy service. To obtain information regarding containers in the container environment, the monitoring service communicates a request to the proxy service. The proxy service in turn maintains a persistent connection for a session with a container management service using an authentication token, and communicates the request to the container management service during the session. The container management service obtains the requested information from the container(s) and returns the information in a response to the proxy service, which in turn returns the response to the monitoring service. The session is destroyed/ended only under certain error conditions—otherwise, the session between the proxy service and the container management system is kept persistent.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed that implement cloud functionality in a cloud agnostic system. An example apparatus includes: at least one memory; instructions in the apparatus; and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to: generate a blueprint including components of requested cloud resources and their relationships; provide an allocation flag to the blueprint, the allocation flag indicating the requested cloud resources are to be partially provisioned; transmit a first provisioning request to a cloud management platform, the cloud management platform to manage a plurality of cloud resources; and in response to the cloud management platform selecting cloud resources, transmit a second provisioning request to fully provision the selected cloud resources, the second provisioning request including constraints specific to the selected cloud resources.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to manage cloud provider sessions. The examples disclosed herein provide a system to manage cloud provider sessions. The system includes a session manger to establish a session using credentials associated with a cloud provider in response to detecting a request to establish the session with the cloud provider and to record a lifespan of a session token associated with the session. When the lifespan of the session token meets a threshold value, the session manager is to use the credentials to obtain a new session token to refresh the session. The system additionally includes a cloud provider adapter to, in response to detecting an action selection associated with a device, call the cloud provider to execute the action.
