摘要: A connector has a housing (20). A rotary lever (50) is mountable on shafts (45) of the housing (20) in either of two symmetric orientations selected in accordance with space restrictions and/or the orientation of a wire cover (30) on the housing (20). The rotary lever (50) has cam grooves (55) for engaging follower pins (15) on a mating housing (10). The housing (20) also has an insertion path (38) and a slide lever (60) is mountable in the insertion path (38) from either of two opposite directions selected in accordance with space restrictions. The slide lever (60) has cam grooves (63) for engaging the follower pins (15). The housing (20) has locks (41) for releasably holding the rotary lever (50) or the slide lever (60) at an initial position.

摘要: A rubber boot (30) is fit on a peripheral surface of a connector housing (10). Wires (90) pulled out of a rear surface of the housing (10) are folded back midway, and a folded region of the electric wires (90) is disposed along a peripheral surface of the boot (30). In this state, a tightening member (50) is tightened to the peripheral surface of the boot (30) to fix the wires (90) and the housing (10) together. A positioning portion (36) for regulating a longitudinal position of the tightening member (50) is provided on the peripheral surface of the boot (30). The phase of the wires (90) and the housing (10) become almost equal to each other when the connector is subjected to vibration. Therefore it is possible to prevent the terminal fittings (60) from vibrating inside the housing (10).

摘要: A connector has an auxiliary housing (10) with cavities (11) and locks (14) cantilevered into the cavities (11). The locks (14) deform into deformation permitting spaces (S) during insertion of terminal fittings (12) into the cavities (11). The locks (14) resiliently return to an undeflected condition to engage locking holes (12a) in terminal fittings (12) after insertion to proper depth. Deformation restricting portions (58) are integrally provided in an accommodation recess (53) of a housing main body (50) for accommodating the auxiliary housing (10). The deformation restricting portions (58) enter the deformation permitting spaces (S) for the locks (14) as the auxiliary housing (10) is accommodated into the accommodation recess (53), thereby preventing the locks (14) from inadvertently undergoing an elastic deformation.

摘要: A connector housing (10) has supporting walls (14) and support shafts (21) project in from the inner side surfaces of supporting walls (14). A lever (30) has arms (32) disposed inwardly of the supporting walls (14). Bearing holes (33) formed in the arms (32) are mounted rotatably on the support shafts (21). The arms (32) try to move wider apart upon the engagement of cam grooves (34) on the arms (32) with cam pins (Mp) on a mating connector (M). However, the arms (32) are displaced in directions to move the bearing holes (33) from the projecting ends toward the base ends of the support shafts (21). Therefore, engaging areas of the bearing holes (33) and the support shafts (21) are not reduced.

摘要: Connecting members 28F and 28R pierce conductors 11 in a state whereby plate faces of these connecting members 28F and 28R are approximately at a right angle with respect to the length-wise direction of the conductors 11. Consequently, if a pulling force is exerted on flat cables 10A and 10B along the length-wise direction of the conductors 11, the connecting members 28F and 28R will not cause edges of slit-shaped piercing locations 35 to split. The piercing locations 35 of the connecting members 28F and 28R (locations where the rigidity has decreased due to their having been pierced) are provided along the length-wise direction of the conductors 11 in a location that is clamped between the connecting members 28F and 28R and a base 22 (the rigidity of these locations does not decrease due to piercing). As a result, if a bending force is exerted on the flat cables 10A and 10B this bending force is absorbed at the clamping locations, and does not reach the piercing locations 35. Consequently, bending at the piercing locations 35 is prevented.
