摘要: A female housing (10) has a lever (12) to facilitate connection with a male housing (11). An operable portion (43) of the lever (12) is at a lateral end of the female housing (10) immediately before the housings (10; 11) are connected and is operated along a connecting direction of the male housing (11). An engaging portion (53) is formed at an end of the lever (12) opposite the operable portion (43) and is engageable with a locking projection (52) on the male housing (11) immediately before the housings (10, 11) are connected properly. Thus, the locking projection (52) receives a force acting along the connecting direction of the male housing (11) as the lever (12) is rotated. In this way, the posture of the female housing (10) is corrected, enabling the two housings (10, 11) to be connected in their proper postures.

摘要: A female housing (10) has cavities (11) for receiving female terminal fittings (30). A lock (13) is provided in each cavity (11) and is deformed by insertion of the female terminal fitting (30). However the lock (13) is restored resiliently to engage and lock the female terminal fitting (30) in the cavity (11). Maneuverable recesses (24) are provided on the front surface of each lock (13) retracted from the locked terminal fitting (30). A disengagement jig (60) can be engaged with the maneuverable recesses (24) to deflect the lock (13) so that the terminal fitting (30) can be removed from the cavity (11).

The slider (3) includes a deformable portion (25) that slides in contact with a slider insertion hole (11) while being deformed during connection of the housings (1, 2), and is restored resiliently in the mold removal space (S) when the housings (1, 2) are connected.

摘要: A terminal fitting (10) has a sidewall (14) and a stabilizer (30) is provided at the sidewall (14) for interfering with the entrance of a cavity (42) when the terminal fitting (10) upside down. The terminal fitting (10) has a posture-holding portion (35) at a sidewall (15) facing the stabilizer (30). The posture holding portion (35) contacts the inner wall of the cavity (42) if the terminal fitting (10) is mounted in a wrong posture. Thus, the terminal fitting (10) will not incline in the cavity (42). Accordingly a sufficient amount of interference of the stabilizer (30) with the edge is ensured, and erroneous insertion of the terminal fitting (10) is prevented.

The notches (17a) extend more outward than inner side surfaces (11b) of the cavity (11) with respect to the widthwise direction. Both side surfaces (26c) of the projection (26) are formed by a mold moved backward to open. The projection (26) is narrower than the base (25).
