The first user is added to the user network based on the matching of the first search query to the product. The second user is added to the user network based on the matching of the second search query to the product.

    Abstract: Top attributes of a product are identified from text content of an electronic document and are presented as visual depictions of the attributes. The attributes are identified and ranked based on the text content, such as whether the text content describes the attribute in a positive or negative manner. Top attributes are selected from the ranking and a visual depiction of the top attributes is identified. The visual depiction can be a universally recognized symbol or a custom image designated to an attribute. The visual depiction is superimposed on the text content associated with the attributes when the electronic document is presented at a display. In this way, top attributes for a product can be presented in a manner that condenses the relevant information provided by the electronic document into a format better suited for providing the information on small screens of mobile devices.

    Abstract: An experimentation platform controls testing of features by an application server. Based on a user identifier, the experimentation platform determines which feature should be provided, and the application server provides the corresponding version of a user interface. If the user behavior data shows that using a tested feature results in an improvement, the tested feature will be adopted. To determine whether or not an improvement is observed, a statistically significant amount of data is gathered. The experimentation platform gathers data regarding user behavior for the feature versions and, in response, adjusts the frequency at which each version is served. Providing the proposed version to an increased percentage of users decreases the total number of page serves required to gather statistically significant data. The experimentation platform may provide an updated projected time to completion of testing based on the changed percentage of users receiving the proposed version.

    Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for identifying top attributes are presented. Text content from an electronic document describing a product is extracted. A plurality of attributes associated with the product are identified using the extracted text content. A descriptor word proximate to each of the plurality of attributes in the extracted text content is detected. A weight is assigned to each descriptor word proximate to each of the plurality of attributes. The plurality of attributes are ranked based on the weight of the descriptor word proximate to each of the plurality of attributes. A predetermined number of top ranked attributes from the plurality of attributes are caused to be presented. Further, an image associated with each of the top ranked attributes is determined, the image being designated as a visual representation of the corresponding top ranked attribute. The image is caused to be displayed in association with the product on a user interface.

Social group interactions are extended to shopping, to enhance the scope and efficiency of commerce. A non-authorized purchaser selects desired items and sends a purchase approval request to the authorized purchaser, including a personalized video message describing and supporting the request. The personalized video message is sent to the authorized purchaser by communication means selected according to determined current availability, including via review of a social calendar.
