摘要: A cutting device for agricultural harvesters has a conveying channel and pivotably supported cutting knives arranged in a row on a frame. The cutting knives project in the cutting position into the conveying channel. A conveying member with conveying tines, rotatingly driven about a horizontal axis, interacts with the cutting knives for comminuting crop. Individual adjusting devices, each associated with one cutting knife, yieldingly support the cutting knives in the cutting position. A knife switching device is provided to move the cutting knives from the inoperative position into the cutting position. With a preselecting device a desired group of cutting knives can be selected that is pivoted into the cutting position upon activation of the knife switching device. The preselecting device is activatable with reduced force expenditure by eliminating resistances, caused by adjusting and connecting devices of the knife switching device, when preselecting the desired group of cutting knives.

摘要: A tractor-mounted forage harvester has a relatively narrow, high-speed cutterhead and crop-feeding means mounted in a housing having a narrow inlet alongside the tractor and a windrow-pickup attachment removably attached to the housing for picking up a windrowed crop from the field and delivering it through the inlet. The pickup attachment has a forward, axially transverse, rotary pickup which raises the crop from the field and delivers it rearwardly to a transverse auger, which, in turn, delivers the crop to a fore-and-aft auger that moves the crop rearwardly along a fore-and-aft passage along one side of the auger through the forage harvester inlet. A baffle is provided adjacent the rear end of the fore-and-aft auger for directing the crop under the auger and into the fore-and-aft passageway. The pickup is floatable about a transverse axis and supported on a pair of gage wheels, and vertical tension springs extend between the pickup and a tooth-type compressor above the pickup to partly counterbalance the weight of the pickup.

摘要: A straw processing system includes a straw pickup assembly, a straw chopper, and a straw distribution system. The straw pickup assembly picks up straw and passes it to the straw chopper for producing a straw feed stream flowing in a feed direction. The straw distribution system has a chamber with a feed inlet for receiving the straw feed stream, a central outlet, and at least a first outlet. The straw distribution system diverts at least a first fraction of straw from the straw feed into the first outlet in a first direction which is divergent from the feed direction. The central outlet discharges a fraction of the straw feed stream that continues to flow in the feed direction.

摘要: A chopping module which pulls plants inside the module and chops them into billets, comprising a box-shaped body with three open sides, a front inlet for plants to be chopped, a rear outlet for chopped plants and a lower outlet for residues. Plants are pulled by two crosswise pairs of rollers, after which plants are chopped by a rotating blade assembly and a fixed shearbar, which are aligned parallel to the pulling rollers. Between the pulling rollers, a passageway is formed for the plants to be chopped. After the fixed shearbar, said passageway continues in the form of a slide sloping downwards to the rear outlet. The rotating blade assembly is located above the slide and next to the fixed shearbar.
