    Abstract: A motion-activated venting system for incorporation into an article of apparel is described herein. The motion-activated venting system may comprise a variety of pleats having one or more folded edges and a ventilation region having a plurality of apertures. In a first state, the one or more folded edges overlie the ventilation region such that the plurality of apertures is covered. In a second state, the one or more folded edges are remote from the ventilation region such that the plurality of apertures is exposed. Further, in an intermediate state, the motion-activated venting system is partially open, thereby exposing a portion of the plurality of apertures.

    Abstract: The invention is a wind resistant jacket made of all materials available today (i.e. polyester, nylon, cashmere, cotton) with a design pouch sewn into the front lower pocket side. The pouch includes all Images (i.e. farm animals, major league sporting teams, boats, canoes, airplanes, cars, trucks, trains, birds) available today and could be sewn into the jacket to create a pouch. Once worn the garment conveniently folds into the pouch for easy travel. The pouch has a draw string to close and the garment fits into your bag, nap sack, etc. The jacket also has a hook at the of the pouch to easily attach to a keychain or a belt loop. The jacket is wind resistant and fastens with Velcro, zippers, buttons. The functionality of the jacket is unique and creative.

    Abstract: An upper body garment having one or more pocket-like openings in an outer layer allowing access to an inner surface of the garment or an inside garment of a wearer of the upper body garment. Such access openings are referred to as “open bottom pockets”. These open bottom pockets are typically formed in addition to normal pockets, however, in some embodiments, the open bottom pockets may replace normal pockets. Representative examples of upper body garments with which the novel open bottom pockets may be useful include, but are not limited to, coats, jackets sweaters (particularly pullover style sweaters), sweatshirts, or any other similar upper body garments. When the upper body garment is an open front upper body garment, a zipper, preferably a nylon zipper may be included. A nylon zipper minimizes damage to a surface against which a wearer of the upper body garment may contact.
