Abstract: A torsion socket includes a longitudinally extending torsion shaft and a nut socket fashioned at one end of the torsion shaft. The nut socket has a recess for receiving a wheel nut to be tightened about a threaded bolt. A driver head is integrally fashioned with the other end of the torsion shaft and has a recess which is square in cross section for engaging the drive shaft of an impact wrench. Rotation indicia are fashioned on an exterior portion of the nut socket to permit an operator who is tightening a wheel nut to facilely visually determine when the torsion shaft relieves the impact torque from the nut socket and when the nut socket stops turning, preventing overtightening of the wheel nut beyond design specification in the secondary market.

Abstract: A lug wrench support for temporary placement on a wheel hub and including a sleeve having appendages on the sleeve outer wall defining wrench receiving grooves. A first internal wall surface of the sleeve is of diameter to receive and frictionally engage a wheel hub while a second internal wall surface of the sleeve is of a lesser diameter and frictionally engages a wheel hub of lesser size than the first mentioned wheel hub. The wrench receiving grooves support that portion of a lug wrench adjacent the socket end of the wrench during rotation of wheel lug nuts. An eye of each appendage serves to retain the lug wrench in the appendage groove.

Abstract: Disclosed is a wrench for which nuts and the like comprise a hub having a bore therethrough with first handle defined by or associated with the hub for providing torque to the hub. A rotatable shaft has a portion within the bore with fastener drive means connected to one end of the shaft and second handle means connected to the other end thereof. The shaft and hub have complementary engaging socket elements whereby the shaft may be selectively engaged to the hub for rotation therewith by the first handle to develop a first torque or disengaged from the hub for rotation relative to the hub by the second handle to develop a lesser second torque. There is a flange between the complementary engaging socket elements and a socket element to which a nut wrench socket is detachably connected. A plastic shield surrounds the hub and it has a skirt with detent protrusions which cooperate with the flange to positively locate the shaft relative to the hub during use. Further there is an auxiliary handle which is adapted to detachably cooperate with a stub on the hub in order to provide a dual handle operation for developing the first torque leverage.

Abstract: The drive socket protector for wheels and lug nuts includes a flexible sheath shaped to define an elongated receptacle having a tubular wall extending from an enclosed end to an open end. The elongated receptacle includes an interior volume configured to receive a socket tool. The socket tool has a lug opening disposed at the enclosed end of the elongated receptacle. The elongated receptacle further includes an exterior surface at the enclosed end that is configured to interface with a lug nut.
