Abstract:
The device includes a housing, a detector configured to detect activation of the liquid dispensing assembly; and control circuitry configured to cause at least one of transmission of information and recording of data in response to detected activation of the liquid dispensing assembly. Upon activation of the liquid dispensing assembly, the device can transmit information and/or record and collect data. Preferably the transmitted information is an auditory advertising message.
Abstract:
A system, method, and device for monitoring the dispensing of liquids, in particular, beverages dispensed at a bar or restaurant is disclosed. The device attaches to the exterior of a container and detects dispensing events by sensing tilt or motion of the container, which could include a bottle or a handle. The system includes an electronic sensor device, data receiver, personal computer, bottle opener/camera system, bar code scanner, point of sale, bar camera, network, Web server, and paging system. The method automatically detects and monitors dispensing events, including detecting the type and amount of liquid, reconciling dispensing events with register ring-ups, recording information, saving video specific to the dispensing event, and sending a page indicating anomalies.
Abstract:
A beverage dispenser is characterized by a beverage dispensing station having a valve for dispensing a beverage while a flow of air is contacted with the beverage being dispensed to entrain in the air an aroma of the beverage for dissemination of the aroma to a customer or another selected area. The airflow can be generated by a fan contained within a housing of the beverage dispensing station.

Abstract:
A drink dispenser assembly includes: a dispenser device (2, 37) provided with a dispensing head (18, 29) for accommodating a dispensing line (17, 28), and a container (7, 27) containing drink, in particular carbonated drink, connected during use to the dispensing line (17, 28) which has a coupling element at an outlet end for connection to the dispensing head (18, 29). The drink dispenser assembly is characterised in that the coupling element comprises a shut-off valve (19, 32) that can be closed when placing the outlet end of the dispensing line (17, 28) into the dispensing head (18, 29) and, respectively, removing the outlet end of the dispensing line (17, 28) from the dispensing head (18, 29).

Abstract:
A beverage dispense system has a dispense nozzle with inlet sections for connection to beverage supplies that merge into an outlet section sized to match the flows such that a unit volume of beverage can be dispensed more quickly. The inlet sections are provided with separate valves controlling the flow so that beverage can be dispensed through either one or both inlet sections. The nozzle is automatically drained on completion of a dispense by air admitted to the nozzle via a passageway.
Abstract:
A drinks dispensing device (1, 25) is provided with a cooling chamber and a tap head for receiving a shut-off valve (32) of a drinks container which has been positioned in the cooling chamber. The tap head comprises a displacement member (45) and a seat (42) which is connected thereto. A handle (33) is removably connected to the seat and can be removed therefrom. Without the handle (33), it is difficult or impossible for the displacement member (45) to be moved by a user by hand, and consequently the drinks dispensing device cannot be operated by children. It is also possible for the user to exchange the handle for a handle of a specific appearance which matches the interior or is distributed by the producer of the drink which is to be dispensed in the event of promotional activities.

Abstract:
Customer information display apparatus is attached to a beverage dispense tap. In one embodiment the dispense tap handle 18 is formed of or includes light transparent and/or light reflective material, a light generating means 22, 30 is attached to the tap body, or a counter fitting therefor, remote from the tap handle, and means 36, 20 are provided to direct light from the light generating means to the tap handle, whereby, in use, the tap handle can illuminate to display customer information. In another embodiment, a shield 58 is provided on the tap body 10 and/or the tap handle 40 to present an information display surface to face customers and to mask from customer view the pivotal interface 12 between the tap handle and the tap body, at least when the tap handle is in its closed position. The apparatus may be designed for attachment to existing taps with minimal or no modification.
