Abstract:
Procedure of construction of pavements according to which, upon the substrate to be paved a support of asphalt agglomerate is prepared (AA) of flexible nature, on which is placed a continuous structure (EC) configured by tiles (1), of flexible nature and of little thickness, interjoined. There is also an impregnation of de thermoplastic liquid resin (RL) between the asphalt agglomerate (AA) support and the continuous structure (EC).The continuous structure (EC) is composed of tiles (1) arranged according to a specific pattern, which are obtained in moulds and present a desired finish and different for the portion of pavement to be obtained at any given time. Its uncovered face may have one or several coats of finish (2).In the pavement obtained, said tiles (1) are of thickness less than 40 millimetres and composed of at least one thermoplastic resin (11) mixed with, at least, one aggregate (12).
Abstract:
Apparatus and processes that include a detectable warning tile having a top side with a plurality of protuberances forming a pattern or array and a second tile member disposed perpendicular to an edge of the detectable warning tile. The bottom side of both the detectable warning tile and the second tile member have at least one anchoring member embedded within a concavity in the bottom side, making the tile and tile member especially durable on platform edges.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composite shaped block produced by placing a top plate serving as a covering layer onto a supporting body. This supporting body is provided with a binder compound and is produced by a shaping process. The invention also relates to a method for producing composite shaped blocks of this type.
Abstract:
Masonry landscaping modules and methods for landscaping using the modules are disclosed. The masonry modules each have an upper portion comprising a plurality of masonry elements bonded to an upper surface of a lower portion. The masonry elements, preferably clay brick, are arranged in predetermined patterns and spaced from each other on the upper surface of the lower portion to define masonry joints between them. The lower portion comprises a concrete base having side walls which taper inwardly toward a bottom surface of the lower portion to define a trapezoidally shaped lower portion. Either steel reinforcing bars or fiberglass fibers are embedded in the lower portion. In completed products such as patios and walkways where multiple modules are placed adjacent to each other, inverted Y-shaped or "key" paving joints are formed between modules. Methods of laying the modules to form a variety of masonry products such as paving and other decorative arrangements are disclosed.
