Abstract:
Multilayered pavers comprise adjoining outer sections of male components that are adjacent to each other with opposite and adjacent outer sections that define female voids that comport to male sections of the pavers. The multiple layer or three layer approach allows for multiple points of contact and retention of the pavers. Slanted top and bottom sections of protrusions allow for ease of insertion of one paver into the other. A cambered perimeter edge of a top layer of the paver allows for ease of attachment to machinery sometimes used to transport each paver to a desired spot and for insertion into an adjacent paver.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods related to mats and connects are described. The apparatus include a mat having a top side, a bottom side, and an interior defined between the top side and the bottom side, and at least one connector post extending within the interior of the mat, wherein the at least one connector post comprises a connector pin cavity extending within the interior of the mat and configured to receive a connector pin and at least one locking structure configured to engage with a portion of the connector pin and secure the connector pin to the at least one connector post.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for a ground water filtration system are described. The ground water filtration system includes paver blocks designed to facilitate liquid seepage between the paver blocks and to route the seepage to a preferred area. A filter may be utilized to remove undesired particulates in the seepage prior to routing. The ground water filtration system additionally provides at least one layer of stone to facilitate flow direction of the seepage. At least one geogrid fabric is also provided to further enhance ground water filtration.
Abstract:
A roadway track (10) for a vehicle (T) is provided, the roadway track having a roadway face and being suitable for being rolled up and designed to be placed on the ground and presenting a rolled-up position and a deployed position in which the roadway track extends substantially parallel to the ground. The roadway track includes at least a first track portion (14) and a second track portion (16), the first and second track portions being connected to each other by a pivot connection (18) having a pivot axis (A) that extends in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the roadway face, whereby the first track portion can pivot relative to the second track portion about the pivot axis so as to form a bend (V).
Abstract:
A rig mat frame has at least two longitudinal frame members and at least two lateral frame members defining a deck insert opening therebetween. Each longitudinal frame member has a C-shaped channel facing the deck insert opening and extending along the length of the longitudinal frame member. At least one C-shaped channel has a longitudinally extending flange with a channel opening providing access into the C-shaped channel. A flange panel is removably fastened to the frame and closes the channel opening when the flange panel is fastened to the frame. A plurality of deck inserts are disposed within the frame and extend across the deck insert opening with the ends of each deck insert disposed in the C-shaped channels. And each of the plurality of deck inserts is removable from the C-shaped channels when the deck insert is positioned in alignment with the channel opening and the flange panel is disconnected from the frame.
Abstract:
A modular plastic floor tile has a body of a first polymer compound and features overmolded onto the body from a second polymer compound. The compounds may be different from each other in hardness and/or color. The features may include raised pads on the upper surface and/or skins on support member cores downwardly depending from the tile lower surface. The pads on the upper surface may be injection-molded from the lower surface through through-holes. Lateral edges of the tile are provided with latches which fit into loops with an interference fit. The loops flex in order to impose a compressive force on mating tile edges. The tile may have an overmolded peripheral seal.
Abstract:
A module for use in constructing a pathway for traffic comprises a base member having a perimeter edge. The base member defines a lateral groove disposed at the perimeter edge and a tongue structure disposed at the perimeter edge and shaped and dimensioned to be received in the lateral groove. The tongue structure comprises a plurality of tongue portions, and includes a first type of tongue portion and a second type of tongue portion disposed in alternating relation generally along the length of the tongue structure, to thereby define a throughpassage for receiving a securing rod therethrough. To form a pathway for traffic, the modules are placed in perimeter-edge to perimeter-edge relation one to the next, with the tongue structure of the modules inserted into the lateral groove of an adjacent module, and are secured together by the securing rod.
Abstract:
A paving package has a spaced plurality of paving elements interconnected through a flexible connecting medium. The paving elements are wound into a roll. An outdoor surface destined to receive the paving elements is prepared by laying bedding material on the surface. The roll is brought near the surface and unwound to lay at least some of the paving elements in a predetermined region on the surface.
Abstract:
A building unit has a substantially planar base having an outer periphery including multiple mating sides. Each mating side has at least one “S”-connection, which includes at least one outwardly extending male mating section and at least one inwardly extending adjacent female section. On the base, there are multiple cobbles or raised regions separated by false joints. A first portion of the raised regions are positioned on the male mating sections, respectively and extend to positions proximate to the outer periphery of the base. A second portion of the raised regions are positioned adjacent the female mating sections, respectively and are set back from the outer periphery. Each side of one unit can mate with any side of another like unit. The arrangement results in a surface covering that lacks a discernible pattern.
Abstract:
A connection surface that is disposed on at least a portion of a face of a structural unit comprises a first convex surface and a first concave surface arranged substantially along a first line. The shape of the first concave surface is complementary to the shape of the first convex surface. A second convex surface and a second concave surface are arranged substantially along a second line that is substantially parallel to the first line. The shape of the second concave surface is complementary to the shape of the second convex surface. The concave-convex order of the second line is reversed relative to the first line, such that the second convex surface corresponds with the first concave surface and the second concave surface corresponds with the first convex surface.
