摘要: In various embodiments, the present invention describes a system that attaches to an existing pipeline, pipe, valve or meter in order to prevent unwanted theft and tampering with fluids and gasses flowing through the pipeline, pipe, valve or meter. In one embodiment of the present invention, the inventive device has two locking halves that mechanically and releasably interact with each other and cover the metering device prior to being locked. In one embodiment of the present invention one housing frame connect with a rectangular base underneath the invention thereby allowing it to lock the meter. In one embodiment of the present invention the electronic signal devices are elevated from the meter thereby preventing accidental dislodging and tampering.

摘要: A locking assembly for locking a cover over an opening of an enclosure includes a mounting bracket including a first wall having opposing first and second ends, a second wall joined to said first end and extending in a first direction away from the first wall. A stud joined to the first wall extends in a second direction away from the first wall. Hooking structure extends from the second wall of the mounting bracket for extending into the opening of the enclosure and engaging the enclosure to secure the mounting bracket relative to the enclosure. A locking bracket includes a first wall having opposing first and second ends and a first surface facing the first wall of the mounting bracket. A second wall is joined to the first end of the mounting bracket and extends in a first direction away from the first wall of the locking bracket. In one embodiment, a lock housing is fixed to the first wall of the locking bracket. The lock housing defines a cavity for receiving a barrel lock and an opening intersecting said cavity. The opening receives the stud for engaging the barrel lock received in the cavity.

摘要: A barrel lock for locking various utilities devices such as valves, meters, or enclosures associated with the control or distribution of gas, water or electricity includes a shank with a single driven ball that can be forced radially outward from the shank to lock onto a cap-like retainer such that the utilities device is restrained between the retainer and an enlarged head of the shank. Preferably, only a single driven ball is used to concentrate the clamping force at a single point, thereby creating an exceptionally high clamping pressure. For even greater clamping force, an accurately and strategically positioned end stop allows a drive ball to push against the driven ball at an extremely shallow angle of attack while preventing the two balls from accidentally toggling over center and irreversibly locking up. The barrel lock has infinite variable adjustment in an axial direction to fit a wide variety of devices.

摘要: A security device comprises a first component having a through first passageway surrounded by an internal first recess, and a second component having a second passageway surrounded by an internal second recess. The first and second components are configured for assembly in a mating relationship with the first and second passageways in communication with each other and in coaxial alignment. A lock has a barrel containing a spring and plunger and carrying radially shiftable locking elements, with the plunger being normally biased by the spring in one direction urging the locking elements into expanded positions protruding radially from the barrel. The barrel is insertable into and releasably retained in an unlocked position in the first passageway with the locking elements expanded radially outwardly into the first recess, and is shiftable by a forwardly applied axial force into a locked position in the second passageway with the locking elements expanded into the second recess. The first recess has a forward surface configured to coact with the locking elements in response to the forwardly applied force to exert a reactionary force urging the locking elements radially inwardly and urging the plunger in the opposite direction to accommodate retraction of the locking elements from the first recess.

摘要: A means for preventing rotation of a barrel lock when opened by a key includes a rotationally actuated barrel lock for securing electric meter boxes and the like, and a spring loaded clip for mounting inside the meter box. Lock actuation is characterized by rotation of a key relative to the lock. The barrel lock includes a head portion, and a smaller diameter shank portion with flatted areas thereon. The clip includes a lock receiving opening with internal protrusions which engage the flatted areas on the lock shank, thereby preventing rotation of the lock when it is engaged by the key.

摘要: A magnetic lock which may serve, itself, as a locking device, or may form part of an otherwise conventional locking device, is provided with a body member, detent balls, and a detent locking plunger that is disposed in an axially extending interior space of the body member in a manner enabling the locking plunger to be displaced within the body member between a first location, at which the locking plunger causes the detent balls to be locked in a position protruding from the body member, and a second location at which the locking plunger enables the detent balls to retract into the body member. The body member is provided with a sealed end having a key seat upon which a key may be seated for shifting the locking plunger between its first and second locations. The key is provided with at least one magnet that emanates a magnetic flux, and at least one second magnet is disposed in the interior space so as to emanate a magnetic flux which will interact with the flux of the magnet of the key when the key is seated on the key seat. Additional security is provided for preventing the unlocking of the magnetic lock by the mere positioning of the key on the key seat. Unlocking may occur only after a predetermined manipulation of the key means has been carried out on the key seat.
