At its screwing into mine body (3), ampoule (D2) containing the aggressive matter is broken by the sharp point, the matter spills and comes to initial part (2B) that gets immersed in it. The aggressive matter slowly corrodes the walls of initial part (2B) and, when it corrodes them through, it mixes with the initial explosive placed inside initial part (2B), soaks it and neutralizes it, in such a way the initial explosive looses its explosive properties, and the mine cannot be activated any more. Cylindrical housing (D) serves for placing ampoule (D2) and retaining the aggressive liquid after breaking ampoule (D2).

    摘要: An align at fire safe and arm and electrical power supply module 10 for an electronically fuzed land mine 12. The module 10 is removably mounted into the land mine 12. Reserve batteries 16 are contained in the module 10 and are energized when a safety pin 25 is removed during mine emplacement. A slider 30 is located in the module housing 14. When the slider 30 is in its safe position, the firing train 57 of the warhead 65 of the mine 12 is interrupted. When the slider 30 is driven into its armed position by a piston actuator 32 in response to an align signal being produced by the fuzing subsystem 87 of the mine 12, the firing train 57 is completed through a transfer lead 60 located in the slider 30. The firing train detonator 44 may then be functioned by an electrical firing signal produced by the fuzing subsystem which will event the warhead 65. Detonating the firing train detonator 44 before the slider 30 is driven into its armed position, self-neutralizes the mine 12. A visual safe indicator 18 slaved off the detonation of the firing train detonator 44 produces a highly visible indicator 84 which aids in locating a self-neutralized mine 12 and to signal that the mine 12 is safe to approach and recover.

    摘要: A motion sensitive explosive device is kept in a safe unarmed condition by a pair of silicone gum plugs which have been expanded by absorption of a fluoro-carbon fluid such as FREON. The expanded plugs hold a trip lever arm immovable against a detent when the device is being deployed. The device when implaced is armed, after a time delay, by evaporation of the fluoro-carbon which causes shrinking of the plugs to their normal size and release of the lever arm. Upon subsequent slight movement of the device the trip lever releases a spring loaded firing pin so that it can strike and ignite an impact detonator.

    摘要: Pressure from an external force near the detonating device will collapse or move a triggering rod to thus rock an attached wobbler plate, which rocking will lift a U-shaped clamping claw that will pull a firing pin against the bias of a spring away from a primer to a position where the clamping claw automatically releases the firing pin so that it will move under the bias of the thus tensioned spring to strike and detonate the primer. In the normal position, the clamping claw prevents movement of the firing pin into the primer and the spring is not biased or biased only to a small degree. The wobbler plate has a clamped peripheral weakened sealing portion that breaks when the wobbler plate is subjected to a force above a predetermined magnitude.
