    摘要： A folding chair comprises a front, scissors-like X-structure formed by two pivotally coupled rigid members, the lower ends of which form front feet and the upper ends of which form front seat corners of the chair. Rearward the scissors structure, an inverted Y-structure includes a pair of downwardly depending rear legs diverging from a central hinge to form rear feet and a stile pivotally coupled to the hinge and extending upwardly opposite the legs. Two spindles link the front feet to an apex coupled to the hinge by a tether, and two lateral braces link the rear feet to the front seat corners, the braces and the spindles being pivotally coupled together where they cross. The stile opposite the hinge includes a transverse rail from which is suspended a hammock seat extending downward to the front seat corners on the scissors structure. The chair folds to a tight bundle for carrying, the hammock seat doubling as a shoulder sling. The chair quickly deploys by spreading the front feet, thereby causing the rear feet to spread apart and to extend rearwardly from the front feet. The stile, folded downwardly between the rear legs for carrying, pivots upwardly at the hinge and latches into place to support the upper end of the hammock.

    摘要： A folding chair has three U-shaped frame members supporting the seat and back rest and providing arm supports, and two connecting links controlling folding and unfolding for storage and use. Flexible material for the seat and back rest is removably attached to two cross members and to one frame member. Two frame members which form the legs cross and are pivoted together at the sides of the chair, and fold or scissor together front-to-back for folding and storage of the chair. The base of the U of the third frame member in a use position extends across the chair behind the back rest, and the sides form arm rests and extend forwardly to pivot connections at the front of the chair. A pair of links joins and supports the arms adjacent the rear frame member. For storage, the arm frame moves rearwardly and down about the links, folding the two leg frames together until the front pivot connections pass behind the back rest. The arm frame and links lock the first and second leg frame members together. The chair can stand upright on its legs in its folded position.

    摘要： A foldable furniture unit employing scissors-acting seat frames and upright side frames has restraining members on the seat rail portions of the seat frames adapted to be positioned adjacent portions of the side frames to reduce relative movement between the seat rails and the side frames and thereby stabilize the unit when it is in unfolded condition for use. The tubular housing has a plurality of oppositely aligned mounting apertures which can receive the elongated support members in assembling the chair. A tie element may be used to join the various support members by being passed through openings in one of the ends of the support members.

    摘要： An all metal folding furniture construction having front and rear sets of pivotally connected cross legs including a jointed locking bracket connecting the cross members extending between each pair of aligned front and rear legs. The jointed bracket includes a pair of U-shaped links pivoted to each other at one end and to the cross members at their other ends. Abutment surfaces are provided to lock the rotational position of the bracket when the joined ends of the links pass below the line joining the pivots at the cross members. The chair includes a side rail and an overlying runner pivoted thereto between which the fabric seat passes. The hinges connecting the rails and runners are spaced further apart than the depth of the seat and a pair of co-operating retaining flanges hold the welt and core of the seat in place regardless of the pivotal position of the side rail and runner. The side rail also defines an anvil spaced inwardly from the retaining flange to support the seat and in co-operation with the clamping flange on the runner, serves to selectively clamp the seat in position. The stool includes a side rail having a curved support surface to support the seat adjacent the welt and core and a key hole slot which passes along the length thereof to selectively retain the welt and core of the seat therein.
