摘要： A water flow control valve (10) designed to be installed externally on a toilet tank (108) or as an integral element of a toilet ballcock (110). The valve (10) incorporates a diaphragm (46), a spring (62), a poppet assembly (70), and an inlet port (38) that is connected to a utility water supply (100) and an outlet port (42) that is connected through a pipe (102) to a fitting (106) on the the toilet tank (108). The valve functions by sensing the pressure at the inlet port (38). When no large demands are placed on the water supply (100), the valve (10) remains open, thus allowing the toilet tank (108) to fill. When a shower is turned on, the water pressure drops which reduces the upward force on the diaphragm (46), thus allowing the spring (62) to place the poppet (70) in a closed position which prevents the toilet tank (108) from filling. When the water demand ceases, the water pressure opens the valve (10), which allows the toilet tank (108) to fill.

摘要： A transfer seat apparatus structured for simultaneous dependent slidable translation during manual rotation, through preferably about 90° of rotation, of a seat section of the apparatus with a person seated atop the seat section. The apparatus is particularly useful for transferring a physically impaired or weakened person into a bathtub or over a collecting basin when adapted and used as a commode. Thus, as the seat section is rotated with the person seated thereon, lateral linear translation is simultaneously effected which is dependently responsive to manual seat section rotation.

摘要： A lift assisting device and a stabilizing device for a bather and a showerer, respectively. The device includes a rope and a plurality of rungs. The rope is suspended from a ceiling. The plurality of rungs are operatively connected to the rope for grasping by the bather to assist in lifting and the showerer for stabilizing. The plurality of rungs are molded around the rope so as to form an integral unit therewith. The rope is one-piece for integrity and passes through the plurality of rungs to define a path that is double-helix-like that prevents the bather and the showerer from falling if one of the plurality of rungs fails since double lengths of the rope pass through each of the plurality of rungs.

摘要： A hydraulic pool lift is disclosed. The lift has enhanced stability due to its adjustable support assembly, and a reinforced piston rod. A load carrying component is rotated 180° from a deck position to a pool position. A curved track on a hydraulically driven piston guides the displacement of the load carrying component. The track is wider in its straight portions. The wider straight portion closely approximates the width of a notch in an end cap through which the track and piston travel. This arrangement affords greater stability in the uppermost position for ease of loading and unloading the lift.

摘要： An appliance is provided for individuals, especially those with disabilities which render them incapable of readily getting into and out of a bathing position in a bathtub. The appliance consists of an inflatable seat with a top seat surface and side, back, front, and bottom walls made of a resilient material of single ply construction. The seat, when deflated, is flattened and crushed into a thin layer which can then be readily rolled into a compact unit and stored and transported in an accompanying carrying case. A bath mat type extension is secured to the front wall of the seat to supply a non-skid surface to the user while in the bathtub and for facilitating the roll-up aspect of the invention. The appliance employs the use of an air pump and air hose for supplying and delivering air to the seat, along with a valve for controlling the flow of air. A remotely operated device for controlling the operation of the air pump is also provided.

The arms are joined together at the wall end to form a loop which pivotally and tightly engages a tubular bar mounted along the wall. The other ends of the arms engage a handle which can be grasped by a person to pull up from a sitting position or lower down from a standing position. The extension member can maintain a longitudinal position extending from the wall or a vertical position along the wall. The preferred use of the extension member is for safely lowering into or rising from a bathtub with the device extending from a wall at the head of the tub.
