摘要： A patient transfer sled has a support structure including at least one air cushion adjacent a major surface thereof. The air cushion includes a flexible material at least partially surrounding a rigid material, and a portion of the flexible material has a plurality of holes extending therethrough. Systems for patient transfer may include a support surface, such as a table, a patient transfer sled having at least one air cushion, and a source of pressurized air. Methods for moving a patient relative to a support surface include positioning a patient on a patient transfer sled having at least one air cushion, and inflating the air cushion with air to form a sheet of flowing air between the patient transfer sled and the support surface. The methods may be used, for example, to move a patient on an air film over a surface within a system.

摘要： A traveling device includes a support body, a columnar section extending upward from the support body, and a middle abutting part provided in a middle of the columnar section. The support body includes a right and left support parts that support the feet of a user. A right-rear abutting part and a left-rear abutting part (a rear-side plate) are provided at rear sides of the right support part and a left support part. A right-middle abutting part (a right elastic member) is provided at one side of the middle abutting part, and a left-middle abutting part (a left elastic member) is provided at the other side thereof. The feet of the user are placed on the right and left support parts such that heels abut against the right-rear and left-rear abutting parts and that patellar ligaments or shin bones abut against the right-middle and left-middle abutting parts.

Embodiments described herein provide for an axis of rotation that is adjustable with respect to the plane of either an upper or lower support platen. Embodiments provide for adjusting the separation distance between the axis of rotation and the center of gravity defined by the combination of the person and the supporting platens.

摘要： A patient lift has a base extending in a forward direction, and a mast mounted relative to the base. The mast includes a hinge configured to allow the mast to be pivoted relative to the base between an upright operative position and a folded position, wherein when the mast is in the folded position the mast is substantially parallel to the base and extends in the forward direction. A latch mechanism is configured to hold the mast in the folded position when the latch mechanism is locked, and to allow the mast to be returned to the upright operative position when the latch mechanism is released. The latch mechanism is configured to automatically lock when the mast is moved to the folded position.

摘要： A medical assist device relocates patients from a first support such as a bed to a second support such as a chair or wheelchair. Upon location of the assist device to a position adjacent such first support, the patient may stand on a rotatable platform of the assist device. Upon actuation of the motor, preferably by a remote controller, the platform is caused to slowly rotate through a desired angular path to position the patient adjacent the second support. A steadying structure is provided for gripping by the patient. Under one embodiment, the steadying structure is designed to be collapsible.
