摘要： A portable soccer goal with rebounding net to return a ball struck into the net. The frame of the goal is formed by a pair of vertical posts and a long horizontal tube and is secured to the ground by a pair of base supports. Pivotable struts further support the vertical posts. The net has a sleeve that positively joins the net to the frame over the entire horizontal length of the frame, and there is a resilient mainstay cord threaded into the net near the periphery. The net and mainstay cord are secured by hooks at the base supports, and the net is oriented to the outside of the struts. When the struts are spread outwards, the tension in the net is increased so as to be sufficient to rebound a ball struck into the net.

摘要： An apparatus for playing a game of chance which comprises a participator area for accommodating a plurality of players, at least one receptacle within the participator area, a projectile which can be directed by a player from the participator area into the receptacle, and a display. The receptacle defines a plurality of separate recessed regions to each of which is assigned one number or color, and the display has a plurality of display conditions corresponding respectively to the different numbers or colors of the recessed regions. Each region is provided with a switch which is actuated by the projectile when it is in that region to place the electrically interconnected display in the display condition corresponding to that region. Betting layouts are provided for the participants, with each layout containing various options for betting, and the odds or payoff for each option.

摘要： An apparatus for playing a game of chance comprises a participator area for accommodating a plurality of players, a receptacle spaced from the participator area, a projectile which can be directed by a player from the participator area into the receptacle, and a display. The receptacle defines a plurality of separate regions to each of which is assigned one member of a set of possible play results, and the display has a plurality of display conditions corresponding respectively to the different members of the set of possible play results. Each region defined by the receptacle is provided with an electrical switch detector which is actuated by the projectile when it is in that region to place the electrically actuated display in the display condition corresponding to that member of the set of possible play results which is assigned to that region. A plurality of individual betting layouts is provided each including a plurality of betting zones each of which denotes a manner of winning and the payoff thereof, with the betting zones including zones for each member of the set of possible play results and zones for various groups or combinations of members of the set of play results.

摘要： A lawn game device including targets and a plurality of missiles or projectiles launched or projected toward the targets by the use launching sticks swung by the players somewhat in the nature of swinging a golf club or hockey stick with the missiles being supported in launching position by a cradle tee. Each target is in the form of an annular member of frustoconical configuration supported generally in an upright condition from the ground surface. Each missile is in the form of a cylindrical member having a rounded nose, stabilizing vanes at the rear thereof and a plurality of rearwardly and outwardly inclined hooks adjacent the forward end thereof for engagement by a launching stick. The launching stick includes an elongated handle with a downwardly opening arch at the lower end thereof with a resilient band extending across the open end of the arch to engage the hooks on the missile. The cradle tee is in the form of a pointed ground inserted peg or stake having a generally semi-circular cradle at the upper end thereof for supporting the cylindrical missile at a point adjacent the forward end thereof.

摘要： The combination container and ball goal includes an enclosure having side and bottom walls and an opening through its upper end. The side wall is provided with an aperture and a movable panel for opening and closing the aperture. In one form, the panel is pivoted at its lower edge to the side wall for movement between a position closing the aperture and forming a substantially continuous side wall portion with the side wall of the enclosure whereby the enclosure is adapted for use as a container and in inclined position within the enclosure for deflecting a ball received within the enclosure through its upper end toward and through the aperture when the enclosure is utilized as a ball goal. In a further form, the panel is fully removable from the enclosure thereby adapting it for use as a ball goal whereby a ball received through the upper end of the enclosure may be retrived through the aperture. When usable as a container, the panel of this latter form forms part of the substantially continuous side wall of the enclosure with the aperture fully closed by the panel.

For example, in one embodiment, an apparatus is provided comprising: (1) an enclosure structured to be placed at least substantially below the surface, the enclosure defining a cavity; (2) a goal engaging member movable relative to the surface and structured to engage the structural member of the movable goal; and (3) a tightening mechanism mounted within the enclosure and operatively connected to the goal engaging member, the tightening mechanism being structured to urge the goal engaging member toward the tightening mechanism so that the goal engaging member releasably secures a portion of the structural member of the movable goal.

摘要： Rotatable sleeves are disposed adjacent the ends of the crossbar of a goalpost. A stub is integrally formed with each of the sleeves and each stub protrudes through an opening in the crossbar. The opening in the crossbar is dimensioned to permit back to front movement of the stub and corresponding rotation of the sleeve until verticality of the stub and its associated upright is achieved. At that point, the sleeve is locked against further rotation by means of a tapping block previously installed in the sleeve and engaged with a serrated bolt through an appropriately dimensioned opening in the crossbar and corresponding holes in the sleeve. Once the bolts are tightened into the tapping block, the sleeve is drawn tightly against the interior surface of the crossbar, thereby locking the sleeve and the stub and the upright against further rotation.
