The device can include a robot and/or one or more displays and/or optional speech bubbles.
Abstract:
A computer implemented personified sporting goal apparatus, system, method and/or computer program product may provide electronically and programmably controlled personification attributes to a sporting or intermediary goal. Certain embodiments include robotic, animatronically moveable appendages, emotions, and/or gestures, via audio, visual, or enhanced features. A personified sporting goal apparatus can include: sporting goal device, including processor(s); memory coupled to the processor; input or output device(s) coupled to the processor; a sporting goal; a personified feature, attribute, or movement; and user interface coupled to the device, including: a display device, the input device, the output device, a keyboard, or a touchscreen, and is configured to: enable a user to interact with the sporting goal device; receive a selection of a sporting goal routine; or receive instructions to control the sporting goal device. Embodiments include a robot, display(s) and/or speech bubbles.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide an apparatus for securing a movable soccer goal to a fixed football goal or other vertical post. When in use, the apparatus functions to prevent the soccer goal from being overturned, thereby, making it considerably safer than an unsecured soccer goal.
Abstract:
A netting apparatus adapted to display advertising content at a sporting event is disclosed. The netting apparatus comprises a net and a plurality of mesh netting pieces. The net may comprise an open mesh netting, wherein the open mesh netting is adapted to safely stop a ball without significant obstruction of view through the open mesh netting. The mesh netting may also include a plurality of cut-out portions. Each piece of the plurality of mesh netting pieces may be colored and each piece may be in the shape of a logo such that each piece corresponds to a one of the plurality of cut-out portions on the net. Each piece may be attached to the net such that the net and the plurality of mesh netting pieces do not overlap each other with each mesh netting piece located within the corresponding cut-out portion of the net.
Abstract:
According to one exemplary embodiment, a computer implemented athletic training apparatus, system, method and/or computer program product may provide a robotically controlled moveable goal and/or intermediary goal, as well as a plurality of sensors to identify a plurality of sensor data relating to user interactions with the robotically controlled athletic training system.
Abstract:
Rotatable and hinged goal posts are operably rotatable so that the goal post may rotated to a first position with the uprights being disposed toward a playing field such as for use when playing football, and to second position where the uprights being disposed away from the playing field such as for use when playing soccer. In addition, the rotatable and hinged goal posts are operably pivotable from a raised orientation and a lowered orientation, and vice versa.
Abstract:
A sports goal is configured to have display lighting and fireworks. This goal post has a light emitting device, a laser lighting emitting device, and remote transmitter for controlling the light emitting device and a sound emitting device. The goal post may come in a variety of sign display appearances.
Abstract:
A net or barrier has strategically located pocket(s) attached to the net over holes(s) in the net/barrier in order to catch a ball or projectile that passes through the hole(s). A computer-assisted method displays information, more particularly advertisement, onto a net or barrier. The computer-assisted display is viewable by a TV or video audience.
Abstract:
A collapsible goal post includes a lower support extending from a playing field; a upper support having a first end and a second end, and a pivot assembly attaching the first end of the upper support to the lower support; an upper assembly comprising two uprights and a crossbar having two ends. The crossbar is attached to the second end of the support at about the midpoint of the crossbar. One of the two uprights is attached to each end of the crossbar. The upper support is configured to pivot about the pivot point assembly to move the upright assembly from a raised position to a lowered position. The two uprights are substantially perpendicular to the playing field in the raised position, and are substantially parallel to and contacting the playing field in the lowered position while the upper assembly and upper support remain attached to the lower support. In another embodiment, the goal post includes a hydraulic cylinder system coupled to the upper support and the lower support to hinder a rate of pivoting of the goal post about the pivot assembly.
Abstract:
A Soccer Goal Retainer includes a bar rotatably mounted in an enclosure. A clamp plate includes a lower member attachable to the bar. A vertical member extends at right angles from the lower member and an upper member extends from the vertical member generally at right angles. A lip extends generally at right angles from the upper member. With the vertical member generally positioned vertically, the lip, the upper member and vertical member are placed over the rear rail of a soccer goal and the clamp plate is secured to the bar. The clamp plate is released from the rear rail by loosening the clamp plate from the bar. The clamp plate and the bar are then rotated in a forward manner and downwardly into the enclosure. A cover is placed over the enclosure both when the clamp plate is in use and when it is being stored.
