Abstract:
An evaporative cooling unit that sprays a water mist into the air to cool the air by evaporation of the water mist is disguised as to its function and purpose by including the misting nozzles and water supply conduits in a decorative structure, such as an artificial flower arrangement or plant. The misting unit of the invention includes a base and a decorative structure extending from the base. A water conduit extends through the base from a base end with a fitting for attachment to a source of pressurized water such as a garden hose, into the decorative structure where it ends in at least one decorative structure end with a misting nozzle thereon. The base may take the form of a flower pot with the decorative structure taking the form of flowers or a plant extending from the flower pot.
Abstract:

The adapter is configured to be permanently secured over a base portion of the glass ornament, and further has a lower oversleeve portion adapted to be removably secured over an upper end of the blind bore upright.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a modular connector for use in fountains that includes a collar having a first collar portion, a second collar portion, a third collar portion, two ears and two flanges. The first collar portion has a first outside diameter and a first inside diameter. The second collar portion is disposed between the first collar portion and the third collar portion and has the first outside diameter and a second inside diameter. The third collar portion has a second outside diameter and the first inside diameter. The two ears oppose one another, each ear extending from the second collar portion through the first collar portion and above the first collar portion, each ear disposed between the first inside diameter and the second inside diameter. The two flanges oppose one another and extend inwardly from the first collar portion to form a channel with the second collar portion.
Abstract:
Decoration including a container defining a water-receiving receptacle and having an opening and a concealed misting device arranged in the receptacle for generating mist upon contact with water such that when water is present in the receptacle in contact with the misting device, mist is created and exits the container through the opening. The container can be in the form of a pumpkin, a mushroom, a witch with a cauldron, a fountain. and a tombstone. By providing a misting device in connection with structure which provides a frightful impression, a more frightening impression is created.
Abstract:
The self-contained miniature laminar ornamental fountain shown in FIG. 1 comprises an enclosure and water reservoir, 5, a pump, 1 a flow control means, 3, pipe or tubing means, 2 to conduct water from the pump 1, to a laminar nozzle, 4. Water in the reservoir, 5, enters the pump, 1, where it is pressurized, thence through the adjustable valve or flow control means, 3 through the tubing, 2. to the laminar nozzle, 4. The laminar stream, 6, emanating ftom the laminar nozzle, 4, forms a graceful arch and then falls back into the reservoir, 5, to repeat the cycle. In another embodiment of the invention the fountain includes one or more additional laminar or non-laminar nozzles. In another embodiment the fountain above in which the laminar nozzle(s) contain internal lighting means for producing lighted laminar streams. In another embodiment in the fountain, the laminar stream(s) are interrupted to form jets of water which appear to leap ftom place to place.
Abstract:
A vertical water wall assembly (100) for generating dynamically changing water patterns in a contained channel (114) behind a viewing surface. The water wall assembly includes a translucent front sheet (110) directed toward a viewing space with a rear side containing a multiplicity of concave depressions (111), and a rear sheet (140) disposed behind and in proximity to the front sheet that in part acts as a contrasting background. The edges of these sheets are sealed (120, 122) and water is made to flow in the space defined between the two sheets, entering at the top of the sheets (135) and exiting at the bottom of the sheets (150). The flow of water into the water wall at the water inlet (125) is time varying and is preferably computer-controlled (190). In operation water flowing in the contained channel (114) of the water wall takes dynamic, chaotic pathways through the multiplicity of concave depressions (111). As individual depressions fill and empty, air bubbles that formerly occupied the depressions propagate down the contained channel. This behavior generates a non-uniform nullbubblingnull sound in the water wall, while contributing to the overall visual effect of the invention.
Abstract:
This invention discloses an ornamental fountain wherein a fountain nozzle is made to discharge a pressurized stream of liquid, and a shutter prevents or allows the stream to exit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Water-Ball structure, which is comprised of a base, a water pumping and draining device, a model, a waterproof separating plate, a motor, and a transparent upper lid. Wherein, an appropriate proportion of oil and water are poured into a closed space, which is formed by the waterproof separating plate and the transparent upper lid. By the characteristic that oil is lighter than water and by the motion of the water pumping and draining device, the water, sunk in lower layer, is injected into upper oil layer through the pipelines inside the interior of the model. The major characteristic is that each magnetic element is arranged respectively on the rotating blade of the water pumping and draining device and the axis center of the motor. When the motor, arranged under the waterproof separating plate, is rotating, it will directly active the rotating blade located above the waterproof separating plate to rotate by magnetic power. That is, without drilling hole in the waterproof separating plate, the motor can directly active the rotating blade to rotate and to reach the solid and better function of waterproof.
Abstract:
A fountain apparatus for producing fountain dispersal streams emitted in parallel laminar relation, said apparatus including at least one nozzle comprising an outer tubular member and at least one other tubular member mounted inside thereof and wherein all of said tubular members are disposed with their longitudinal axes in parallel relation whereby their dispersal streams are in substantially parallel relation to one another when emitted, valve means for controlling the flow of liquid to each said nozzle, said valve means each having an inlet adapted for connection in fluid communication with a source of liquid under pressure and having valve outlet means comprising at least a pair of outlets, conduit means for connecting each of said valve outlets with a different one of the nozzle tubular member inlets, and means for operating said plurality of valve means to selectively control the degree of fluid communication between each of said valve outlets and said conduit means whereby when said valve inlet means are connected in fluid communication with a source of liquid under pressure, the plurality of valve means may be actuated to control the movements of the fountain dispersal streams.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a device where the liquid film changes into many kinds of shapes and furthermore these shapes can change according to the changes of outside factors including the sound and light etc. Liquid is forced through a flow path by controlling an outlet velocity u0 that is an initial value of liquid velocity u according to equation (1) in which supply pressure p of liquid is varied by a numerically controlled device 1 2 null T r c + 2 null T null null null cos null null null null x - p + g null null null null null null null t null null null sin null null null null - u 2 null null null null null t r c = 0 ( 1 ) wherein null is an inclination angle of the water veil surface to the vertical axis, T is the surface tension of the liquid, t is the thickness of the water veil at an arbitrary point, rc is the radius of curvature, and g is gravitational force.
