Abstract:
An apparatus and method for wrapping a top and bottom of a load with packaging material is provided. The apparatus includes at least one non-driven packaging material guide is provided for use in combination with a powered conveying surface. The non-powered packaging material guide includes at least one row of non-driven wheels attached to a rail. The force applied by the packaging material as it is wrapped around the guide is supported by both the rail and the at least one row of non-driven wheels. The rail also serves to bridge any gaps between the non-driven wheels, thereby preventing capture of packaging material between the non-driven wheels. Preferably, the packaging material guide includes two rows of non-driven wheels, one on each side of the rail. Further, it is preferable that the rail connect the two rows of wheels such that the two rows of wheels form an angle of 60 degrees between them. The packaging material guide is preferably positioned above the load but may also be positioned either below the load or to the sides of the load.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a support base for fixed column and rotating platform winding apparatus. The support base comprises a pair of horizontal side frames, on which are positioned a support plate of the fixed column, a support plate of the rotating platform and a closing plate of the space between said support plates. Said support and closing plates are fastened to the side frames by fastening means applied during the mounting phase, in particular by means of fastening bolts. The support plate of the rotating platform is in turn produced in the form of separate parts, that can be combined and fastened to each other and to the above-mentioned side frames by similar fastening means applied during the mounting phase, in particular by means of fastening bolts.

Abstract:
The top end portion of the outer peripheral surface of a coin feeding roller (4) protrudes in a stacking section (3) as a rotating friction surface (40) so as to correspond to the end portion of a coin passage (1). A plurality of coins (C) are conveyed to the end portion of the coin passage (1) in a row in a direction of diameter of the coins by means of a conveying mechanism (2). The rotating friction surface (40) of the feeding roller rotates while contacting the lower surface of the conveyed coin (C), to cause the coin to get over the rotating friction surface from an upstream side to a downstream side of the friction surface with respect to the direction of rotation thereof. Thus, the roller (4) displaces the trailing edge of the previously conveyed coin upwards so that the leading edge of a subsequently conveyed coin can enter between the previously conveyed coin and the friction surface. By repeating this operation, a plurality of conveyed coins are sequentially stacked in the stacking section. By thus stacking the coins by the feeding roller (4) having the cylindrical rotating friction surface (40), it is possible to avoid functional restrictions caused by the relationship between the length of a tooth and the diameter of the coins in a conventional toothed roller.
Abstract:
A coin wrapping machine includes a discriminator for discriminating whether or not a coin is acceptable, a denomination of the coin when the coin is acceptable and whether or not the denomination of the coin coincides with that specified and counting coins of the specified denomination, a coin stacking device for stacking coins of the denomination to be wrapped, a reference stacked coin height data memory for storing reference stacked coin height data for each denomination of coins stacked by the coin stacking device, and a coin number discrepancy detecting device including a comparator for comparing a height of stacked coins and the reference stacked coin height data for each denomination stored in the reference stacked coin height data memory, the discriminator being made responsive to inclusion in coins of the specified denomination of new issue coins and past issue circulating coins for discriminating whether each coin is a new issue coin or a past issue circulating coin, and the coin number and discrepancy detecting device being made responsive to inclusion in the coins of the specified denomination of new issue coins and past issue circulating coins for causing the comparator thereof to select the reference stacked coin height to be compared with the height of coins stacked by the coin stacking device in accordance with the number of the new issue coins and the number of the past issue circulating coins determined based on a count made by the discriminator. The thus constituted coin wrapping machine can accurately detect whether the number of coins to be wrapped is more than or less than a predetermined number even in the case where new issue coins and past issue circulating coins of the same denomination are wrapped together.
Abstract:
An integrated large round baler and wrapping device has a baling chamber defined by separate upper and lower housing sections, which meet at a substantially horizontal plane. The upper housing section is mounted for being elevated and guided vertically relative to the lower housing section such that a gap of substantially equal height is formed between the bottom of the upper housing section and the horizontal plane. A bale wrapping arrangement is provided for wrapping, with plastic foil or sheet or the like, the entire surface a bale located the baling chamber when the upper housing section is elevated. The lower housing section includes a bale-supporting roller section which is mounted for downward movement so as to discharge a wrapped bale.
Abstract:
A cigarette packing method and machine, whereby an output wheel feeds along a folding path a number of gripping heads, each of which receives and retains, by the ends, a relative packet having minor lateral walls, each defined by an inner longitudinal tab and an outer longitudinal tab superimposed one on top of the other; each packet is fed onto the folding path with its outer longitudinal tabs open, detached from the respective inner longitudinal tabs, and supported by respective folding wings carried by the gripping head; and the folding path extends through a folding station where the folding wings of each gripping head are moved to fold the respective outer longitudinal tabs into a closed position contacting the relative inner longitudinal tabs, and, at the same time, an outward-facing major lateral wall of each packet is kept flat by contact with an external contrast device.
Abstract:
A film clamping mechanism for use in connection with film wrapping apparatus comprises a pair of film clamping fingers or members which are movable between first and second CLOSED and OPENED states for respectively clamping and releasing a leading end portion of a wrapping film, and between first and second RAISED and LOWERED states for respectively clamping the leading end portion of the wrapping film at the commencement of the film wrapping operation and for maintaining the leading end portion of the wrapping film during the film wrapping operation. In this manner, since the clamping fingers are disposed at their LOWERED state during the film wrapping operation, such clamping fingers or members do not pose any interference with the carriage assembly upon which the supply of wrapping film is disposed whereby the carriage assembly can be disposed at its lower-most position in order to securely wrap loads having relatively small height dimensions as well as to shorten the film wrapping operation as well as to reduce the amount of wrapping film required for a particular film wrapping operation.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a device for raising and lowering a pressing arm in a fixed column and rotating platform winding apparatus. The device comprises a pneumatic cylinder that extends vertically along the column, an arm-holder trolley that can be raised and lowered along said column and connection means between said cylinder and said trolley, that can be moved between hooking points at different heights along the vertical axis of the trolley.
Abstract:
When packaging a roll product in which a belt-shaped sensitized material has been wound around a core with a light shielding sheet, the packaging apparatus is capable of forming an angle pleated portion of a gather-folded portion which covers a roll end surface with stability, and the package of roll product is capable of retaining the light shielding property and the moisture resistance while making the area of the sheet as small as possible. The gather-folding apparatus forms angle pleated portions on end surface wrapping material by means of both plate-shaped folding members which come into plane contact from outside of the end surface wrapping material and inter support arms which come into line-contact with the inner peripheral surface of the end surface wrapping material. This gather-folding apparatus forms, by means of both the surfaces of the plate-shaped folding members and the line of the inter support arm, two planes of folded planes sandwiching the line concerned. In this case, since these two planes of folded planes are formed with equal tension, the angle pleated portion can be formed with stability.
