Abstract:
An apparatus for feeding a wrapping web to a wrapping station, where a product is to be wrapped with the wrapping web, includes a backstand for holding a supply roll of the wrapping web and for unwinding and rewinding the wrapping web. The wrapping web falls under gravity on a conveyor which transports the wrapping web to the wrapping station without using bend rollers. The unwinding or rewinding speed of the backstand is controllably adjustable. An unused length of the wrapping web after wrapping is rewound onto the supply roll, leaving a portion dangling loosely from the supply roll and above the conveyor. Thus, the wrapping web can be automatically fed on demand to the wrapping station without human intervention and without the need of pre-feeding the wrapping web into the wrapping station.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a large round bale wrapped with a protective covering for permitting it to be stored outside. The covering is constructed of one or more layers of semi-permeable material. It is possible for an additional layer to be added to a region of the baler to be placed on the ground during storage, this additional layer resulting in the covering becoming essentially non-permeable in the region of the additional layer. A baler for applying the covering to a bale is disclosed together with a device for placing a visual marker on the bale so as to aid a person handling a discharged bale in knowing where the region covered with the additional layer of material is located so that this region may be manipulated into ground contact for storage.
Abstract:
A thin, flat, adhesive-lined disposal system comprised of two layers of liquid resistant material, preferably bio-degradable materials, threaded together securely along the edges and sealed horizontally to form a pocket (34) by which to encapsulate attached soiled materials for safe and easy disposal. Pulling pull-tabs 1 (26) and 2 (30) activates the disposal system which releases an air fragrance (36) to mask odors and cause soiled materials to which the personal disposal system is attached to contract and roll into a ball to be engulfed in the inverted pocket (34) of the disposal system (32). Afterwhich, pull-tabs 1 (26) and 2 (30) are tied together into a secure knot for discarding.
Abstract:
The invention concern a procedure to wrap an object in a wrapping machine, where the wrapping machine is arranged with a conveyance assembly, containing a first conveyor belt which is leading towards a preferably vertical winding level and a second conveyor belt which is leading away from the winding level, and where furthermore a first partial section of the conveyor belt as well as a second partial section of the second conveyor belt are vertically and horizontally moveable, where furthermore the object to be wrapped in a lifted position can be fixed in the section of the winding level which is located across the basic level of the conveyance assembly where the sections are included which are not vertically moveable, and where according to the procedure the object first will be moved horizontally from the first partial section of the first conveyor belt and next vertically into the level of the fixing device, thereupon this first partial section will be guided out of the section or the winding level, the wrapping of the object takes place and the second partial section of the second conveyor belt will in the first place be shifted horizontally into the winding level, than be moved vertically to pick up the wrapped object and after getting back to the basic level will be moved horizontally to connect to the nulllead awaynull conveyor belt, whereupon the wrapped object will be removed.
Abstract:
A large round baler is provided with a wrapping arrangement which supplies wrapping material to a baling chamber inlet at a location above the floor of a baling chamber. The wrapping arrangement includes a wrapping material supply roll positioned at, or in frictional contact with, a feed roll, which conveys the wrapping material and delivers it such that it gravitates downwardly through a gap provided between an anvil and movable part of a cut-off device, the cut-off device being located at the inlet to the baling chamber so that the gravitating material passes into the baling chamber where it is caught between the formed bale and a rotatable bale-forming device which delimits at least a portion of the circumference of the baling chamber.
Abstract:
A semi-automatic round baler having an nullauto kicknull or nullauto wrapnull mode. In the auto kick mode, at the conclusion of the forming cycle the baler will stop and await the operator's signal to continue. Once the operator has signaled to continue, the baler will wrap the bale and will immediately proceed to the ejecting cycle. In auto wrap mode, the baler will automatically enter into and complete the wrapping cycle (after a short delay) following completion of the forming cycle. At the conclusion of the wrapping cycle in the auto wrap mode, the baler will await the operator's signal before ejecting the completed bale.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for wrapping bodies, in particular harvested material bales (1, 34, 50, 65) of hay, straw or wilted green crop, which are wrapped in at least one wrapping material web (8, 36, 57, 74). In order to improve and simplify this device with regard to adjustment and monitoring of the wrapping process, it is proposed according to the invention that the device (3, 4, 44, 49, 64) comprise one or more sensor means (23, 24, 28, 30, 42, 43, 47, 59, 63, 71, 75, 76) for monitoring and/or controlling the wrapping process and/or checking the finished bale wrapping.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for roll packing a variety of compressible materials including a radially collapsible mandrel for easy removal of the roll packed material without tearing or telescoping of the material. The apparatus farther includes an adjustable compression roller for setting the amount of compression in the rolled material and a roll handling device that facilitates removal of finished rolls from the apparatus. In one embodiment of the invention, a packing material dispenser supplies packing material to the in-fed compressible material as it is wound upon the mandrel.
Abstract:
Loads on pallets are often wrapped with a plastic film for shipping. The present invention relates to top platen devices used to maintain stability in loads while the load is wrapped for shipping. The top platen device applies a compressive force to the load to stabilize the load while it is being wrapped. The top platen includes a shaft supporting platen pad which is placed on top of the load. The shaft and platen pad are configured to rotate eccentrically with respect to the geometric center of the top platen in order to rotate with the load about the load's center of rotation.
Abstract:
A method of shipping a plurality of preformed flower pot covers is provided. Each preformed flower pot cover includes a sheet of material formed into a shape sized to receive a flower pot. The preformed flower pot cover has a base with a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough for receiving the flowerpot. The method includes providing a portable platform having a plurality of stacking shells disposed therefrom. Each stacking shell is configured to be received in the object opening of one of the preformed flower pot covers. A stack of preformed flower pot covers is formed on each of the stacking shells such that the preformed flower pot covers of the stack are nested within one another and supported on the stacking shell and secured to the portable platform. The platform with the preformed flower pot covers is then transported to a predetermined destination.
