摘要： The disclosed conveyor-belt cleaning assembly includes a ribbed cleaning roller that is restrained by a blocking device against moving closer to the belt than an operating position at which the ribs of the cleaning roller sweep at high speed along or close to the belt, while spring bias acting on the cleaning roller firmly but yieldably biases the cleaning roller toward the blocking device. The spring bias and the blocking device are adjustable independently of each other so that the operating position can be adjusted to compensate for wear of the ribs while the spring bias remains unchanged. The cleaning roller is supported by composite spherical/rotary bearings that allow the roller to tilt. A hole in a frame plate accommodates removal and insertion of the cleaning roller lengthwise without disassembling the frame plate when the cleaning roller is to be replaced.

摘要： A directional discharge wing pulley having a plurality of wings that discharge material in a single direction while properly tracking the conveyor belt. The directional discharge wing pulley may include a plurality of directional discharge wings, which are generally angled in a single or primarily in single direction across the entire face of the pulley. When pulley is operated a reverse rotation direction, the conveyor belt continues to properly track and the material is discharged in the opposite direction. The wings may have bends to create flat sections, or formed in a multiple arc pattern to create smoother changes in geometry or increased wing angle near the ends of the pulley, while generally maintaining a single direction wing through the entire pulley. Strengthening rib bends may be added near the end of a straight wing to add rigidity reducing the likelihood of wing fold over. The wings may include secondary wings, for example, in a Herringbone pattern. In some applications, the wings may include longitudinal or circumferential wing tips. In other applications, the wings may include a multi-start spiral.

摘要： A self cleaning conveyor roller for supporting a conveyor media carrying contaminant materials. The conveyor roller consists of a drum defining a support surface, having a generally cylindrical shape, and being adapted to be supported for rotation, for supporting a conveyor media. The conveyor roller has a plurality of abutments on the support surface, raised above the support surface, and defining a series of spaced apart conveyor media support ridges lying on a circular configuration, concentric with the drum. The abutments are arranged in generally chevron shapes, around the drum. During rotation of the conveyor roller the abutments cause any debris or contaminants between the roller and the conveyor media to be guided out of the conveyor system. Also disclosed is a method of cleaning a conveyor roller.

摘要： A method and apparatus for cleaning a conveyor belt includes placing a rotatable cleaning roller in close proximity with the belt. The roller includes a plurality of radially extending vanes configured in the form of a so-called chevron helix. The roller is supported within a frame member, which in turn is attached to the support structure of the conveyor. The frame member includes an adjusting mechanism which adjusts the position of the belt relative to the roller. A sealing arrangement establishes an effective air seal between the roller and the belt to permit a vacuum source to aid in the removal of material from the belt.
