    摘要: The invention relates to a rail fastening arrangement for securing a flat bottom rail on a foundation having preformed holes therein.There is provided a base plate on which the flat bottom of the rail rests and anchors for securing the base plate to the preformed holes in the foundation. A pair of rail clips is provided one on each side of the rail with bolts passing through a bolt aperture in each clip and engaging in a preformed bolt hole in the base plate. Each clip has symmetrically spaced about its bolt aperture at least one pair of recesses and the base plate has symmetrically spaced about each of its bolt holes an upstanding pin is received and located in a recess of one of the clips. Each clip is engageable with the base plate with one of its recesses receiving an upstanding pin of the base plate in at least two alternative dispositions. Each clip has for each recess a respective rail foot abutting and clamping shoulder, one of which rail foot abutting and clamping shoulders faces inwardly towards the rail foot for each alternative disposition of engagement of the clip with the base plate and for each clip, each respective rail foot abutting and clamping shoulder is differentially spaced from the center of the bolt aperture of the clip.

    摘要: A rail seat and support structure for mounting, cushioning, anchoring and insulating a rail. A flexible rail seat is provided with the rail seat being of resilient material and having surfaces assisting in forming a recess. The recess is open to the exterior of the rail seat on its upper surface and has an interior configuration corresponding to the base flange and the lower portion of the vertical portion of the rail so as to receive and engage those portions of the rail in insulating, cushioning and bearing relationship. The rail seat also has at least one interior chamber adjacent to each side of the rail and a bar in each of the chambers. A base plate having a horizontal portion and two spaced upright longitudinal side walls is present and the rail seat is positioned in the base between the side walls and is adapted to receive the rail in substantially parallel relationship with the side walls. A clamping plate is positioned on the upper surface of the rail seat on both sides of the rail and mounting means are present for fastening the assembled rail seat and support structure to a rail bed so as to maintain the rail seat and support structure in assembled arrangement, connected to the rail bed, and to retain the rail in mounted, cushioned and insulated position.

    摘要: A rail fastening device (10) comprises a clip 16 and a washer (17) for fastening to a rail support (12) by an upstanding bolt 14 having a nut (15), which can be tightened to lock the device (10) in position. The clip (16) and washer (17) comprise respective apertures (18), (19) for receiving the bolt (14). The washer (17) is adapted to rotate as the nut (15) is tightened until a formation on the washer (17) abuts an upstanding formation (24) on the rear of the clip (16) at point A, whereupon continued tightening of the nut (15) causes the washer (17) to pivot at point A around an offset axis, so as to bring the bolt (14) into contact with a front surface (18F) of the clip aperture (18). Further tightening of the nut (15) pivots the washer (17) to a point where any displacement force applied to the clip (16) by the rail is applied directly to the bolt (14) and not to the washer (17). In this manner, the risk of the washer failing, or bolt (14) bending is avoided.
