Abstract: A collaborative content management system allows multiple users to access and modify collaborative documents. When audio data is recorded by or uploaded to the system, the audio data may be transcribed or summarized to improve accessibility and user efficiency. Text transcriptions are associated with portions of the audio data representative of the text, and users can search the text transcription and access the portions of the audio data corresponding to search queries for playback. An outline can be automatically generated based on a text transcription of audio data and embedded as a modifiable object within a collaborative document. The system associates hot words with actions to modify the collaborative document upon identifying the hot words in the audio data. Collaborative content management systems can also generate custom lexicons for users based on documents associated with the user for use in transcribing audio data, ensuring that text transcription is more accurate.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to a details pane that is displayed in coordination with a file explorer interface. The details pane can display details including activities, comments, and previews for content items displayed in the details pane. In some embodiments, the content items displayed in the file explorer interface can be stored in and accessed from different services, and the details in the details pane can also be populated from diverse sources. In some embodiments, edits or navigations can be performed within a preview of the content item. In some embodiments, comments can be shown along with previews that show the comment located within the content item.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for automatically converting messages into a collaboration content item in a content management system. For example, a message conversion module on a computing system can receive a message or message thread addressed to one or more recipients. The message conversion module can generate a collaboration content item, which can be stored in the content management system. The collaboration content item can include the content of the message or message thread. The message conversion module can cause the content management system to share the collaboration content item with collaborators of the message or message thread such that one or more of the collaborators can access the collaboration content item and receive updates when the collaboration content item is modified.

Abstract: In some implementations, a user can be notified when a content item operation initiated by the user on a client device may render a shared or linked content item inaccessible to the user or others. The notification can give the user an option to undo the content item operation. In some implementations, movement of a content item from one directory location to another directory location can be recorded in entries of a local content journal. The local content journal entries can be shared with a content management system and other client devices so that the corresponding content items on the client devices can be moved without downloading additional copies of the content item to the client devices.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for rotating security keys for an online synchronized content management system client. A client having a first security key as an active security key may send a request to a server for a new security key as a replacement for the first security key. The server may receive the request and generate a candidate security key. The server can issue the candidate security key to the client device. After receiving the candidate security key, the client may send a key receipt confirmation message to the server. In response to the confirmation message, the server may mark the candidate key as the new security key for the client and discard the client's old security key. The server may send an acknowledgment message to the client device. In response, the client may also mark the candidate key as its new active key.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to generating computer searchable text from digital images that depict documents utilizing an orientation neural network and/or text prediction neural network. For example, one or more embodiments detect digital images that depict documents, identify the orientation of the depicted documents, and generate computer searchable text from the depicted documents in the detected digital images. In particular, one or more embodiments train an orientation neural network to identify the orientation of a depicted document in a digital image. Additionally, one or more embodiments train a text prediction neural network to analyze a depicted document in a digital image to generate computer searchable text from the depicted document. By utilizing the identified orientation of the depicted document before analyzing the depicted document with a text prediction neural network, the disclosed systems can efficiently and accurately generate computer searchable text for a digital image that depicts a document.

Abstract: A content management system and a collaborative content system implement interoperability features that allow a user to perform certain interactions with a collaborative content item via the interface of the content management system. For instance, the collaborative content system can outsource access permissions for the collaborative content item to the content management system. When the collaborative content system receives a user's request to access the collaborative content item, the collaborative content system requests permissions data for the collaborative content item from the content management system and then determines based on the permissions data whether to grant access to the user. The content management system can also outsource the account storage capacity for the collaborative content item to the collaborative content system. As a result, a collaborative content item that is stored in association with a user account on the content management system is not counted against the user account's storage capacity.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a system configured to access a collaborative content item stored by a content management system and receive a user selection of a portion of a source content item to embed into the collaborative content item, wherein the source content item is managed by the content management system. The system is further configured to generate a content pane within the collaborative content item and embed the portion of the source content item in the content pane of the collaborative content item.

Abstract: A method, system, and manufacture for securely broadcasting shared folders from one client device to other client devices and synchronizing the shared folders over a local area network. A first client device, associated with a content management system, generates a secure identifier for a shared folder, using a shared secret key that is associated with the shared folder. The first client device announces the secure identifier over a local area network to other client devices on the local area network including a second client device. The first client device receives a synchronization request for the shared folder from the second client device. After authenticating, using the shared secret key, that the second client device has authorization to access the shared folder, the first client device synchronizes the shared folder with the second client device over the local area network.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods to quickly and accurately identify boundaries of a displayed document in a live camera image feed, and provide a document boundary indicator within the live camera image feed. For example, systems and methods described herein utilize different display document detection processes in parallel to generate and provide a document boundary indicator that accurately corresponds with a displayed document within a live camera image feed. Thus, a user of the mobile computing device can easily see whether the document identification system has correctly identified the displayed document within the camera viewfinder feed.
