    Abstract: An optical connector holding one or more optical ferrule assembly is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the one or more optical ferrule assembly, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating receptacle, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. The outer body and the inner front body are configured such that four optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver footprint or eight optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP) transceiver footprint. A receptacle can hold one or more connector inner bodies forming a single boot for all the optical fibers of the inner bodies.

    Abstract: An adapter assembly is formed from an adapter housing with a recess configured to accept an adapter panel hook. The adapter assembly is secured within a panel using the adapter panel hook. The adapter panel hook has opposing side portions connected by a joining plate. Each side portion has an elastic pawl with opposing elastic members. The elastic members are configured to be secured between the adapter outer housing and panel wall opening to reduce vibration at the adapter housing.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of using a multiport assembly and associated components are disclosed. The multiport assembly can include a multiport device that communicatively couples multiple sets or pairs of connectors, such as optical connectors or electrical connectors, together. The multiport assembly can also include an auxiliary port device that couples to the multiport device to expand the capacity of the multiport assembly. Both the multiport and auxiliary port devices can be selectively configured to receive specific types of connectors by selectively coupling to different types of adapters, where the types of adapters correspond to the types of connectors. When coupled to the multiport or auxiliary port devices, the adapters facilitate the formation of the communication between its corresponding set of connectors.

    Abstract: Connector assemblies are described herein. For example, a connector assembly including: a housing configured to accept a first ferrule and a second ferrule. The connector assembly may also have a push/pull clip that is configured to depress a protrusion that rotates down a connector device to remove the connector assembly from an adapter. The push/pull clip is integrated with a cable boot assembly that allows a user to apply a distal force to remove or insert the connector assembly into the adapter housing. The push/pull clip is configured for use to release a MPO and LC connector type from an adapter.

    Abstract: Connector assemblies are described herein. For example, a connector assembly including: a housing configured to accept a first ferrule and a second ferrule. The connector assembly may also have a latch component that is removably connected to the housing. The connector may furthermore include a push-pull tab removably connected to the housing and configured to move horizontally along the outer surface of housing when a biasing force is applied in at least one of a forward direction and a rearward direction. Accordingly, the push-pull tab can compress the latch component when moving horizontally along the housing, and an inverted ramp at a proximal end of the push/pull, the ramp aides in depressing the latch downward to release the connector from a receptacle.

    Abstract: Narrow width fiber optic connectors having spring loaded remote release mechanisms to facilitate access and usage of the connectors in high density arrays. A narrow width fiber optic connector comprises a multi-fiber connector, wherein a width of said narrow width fiber optic connector is less than about 5.25 mm, a housing configured to hold the multi-fiber connector and further comprising a connector recess, and a pull tab having a ramp area configured to disengage a latch of one of an adapter and an SFP from said connector recess. The pull tab may include a spring configured to allow the latch of one of the adapter and the SFP to engage with the connector recess.
