Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether an uplink communication for a first radio access technology (RAT) has been dynamically scheduled or semi-statically configured, wherein the UE is in a dual connectivity mode using the first RAT and a second RAT. The UE may identify an uplink subframe for transmission of the uplink communication based at least in part on whether the uplink communication has been dynamically scheduled or semi-statically configured, and based at least in part on a downlink-reference uplink-downlink configuration. The UE may transmit the uplink communication in the identified uplink subframe. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: In a legacy gNB (e.g., pre-Rel. 17 gNB), RC UEs with only 1 or 2 receive antennas may have a geographic coverage area for control data and traffic data that is smaller than their geographic coverage area for SSB with respect to certain legacy gNBs. By contrast, at least some new gNBs (e.g., Rel. 17+ gNBs) have the capability to provide uniform geographic coverage for RC UEs with respect to SSB, control data and traffic data. In an aspect of the disclosure, a particular class of UEs (such as RC UEs) is steered towards particular cells (e.g., Rel. 17+ gNBs) via one or more biased class-specific cell selection parameters included in system information from the cells.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for performing paging and/or random access procedures with multiple physical resource blocks (PRBs) for narrowband (NB) internet-of-things (IoT). The method generally includes determining a first set of resources and a second set of resources available for narrowband communications with one or more first user equipments (UEs) and one or more second UEs. The method also includes allocating the first and second set of resources to one or more of the first UEs and the second UEs based at least in part on a type of the first UEs and a type of the second UEs. The method further includes signaling an indication of the allocation.
