    Abstract: A pivotal sliding bi-fold door structure mounted in a door frame having a track slidably accommodating the bi-fold door structure. The bi-fold door structure comprising at least two door panels pivotally connected by a hinge member. The improvement comprising a bi-fold door safety wedge including a main body structure. A pair of non-parallel edges on opposite sides of the main body structure facing away from each other and extending along the main body structure and nearly intersect to form a vertex at a front portion of the main body structure. Another edge extending between the non-parallel edges at a back portion of the main body structure. An elastic strap for removably elastically securing the main body structure to the hinge member, where the removable elastic securing strap has the characteristic of adjustably positioning the vertex of the main body structure in adjacency with the hinge member when the bi-fold door structure is in an open position. A non-slip surface portion located along the main body structure co-extensive with the pair of non-parallel edges thereby aiding to maintain an operational wedge-stopped position. The removable elastic securing strap further having the characteristic of enabling manual positioning of the main body structure to a non-wedged position adjacent a front side of the door panels thereby enabling the bi-fold door structure to be movable into the fully closed position.

    Abstract: A hem flange door stop for use in painting an automobile includes a body, a protruding member contiguous with the body and forming a hem flange groove with the body, a brace contiguous with the body and forming a post slot with the body, and a locator proximate to the brace. The hem flange door stop can further include a stabilizer bar attaching hole formed in the body and can be part of a hem flange door securing system, which includes the stabilizer bar. Also provided is a method of stopping a door including the steps of positioning a hem flange within a hem flange groove such that a post is secured within a post slot and positioning a locator into a post hole. As a result, a stop is fixedly positioned such that a door is prevented from moving beyond a predetermined position relative to the hem flange. Also provided is a method of painting an automobile which includes the steps of inserting a door stop into a hem flange, painting a door of the automobile and a body of the automobile proximate to the door stop and removing the door stop from the hem flange, wherein the step of inserting the door stop in the hem flange includes the steps of positioning the hem flange into a hem flange groove of the door stop and positioning a locator of the door stop into a post hole of the automobile body.

    Abstract: A door prop device for the purpose of maintaining a hinged door in a propped-open position against the forces of spring tension, wind, gravity, or other causes, which will effectively function without damaging either the door or any adjacent structure and which will function on doors which pivot on vertical axes, horizontal axes, or any pivot axes orientations between vertical and horizontal. The device comprises a block-shaped prop member and a retainer member attached to the prop member. The retainer member is adapted to be placed over and engage with a hinge pin of an opened door hinge whereby the prop member is caused to assume an obstructing position in the space between the separated plates of the opened hinge. When it is desired to close the door, the door prop device is simply removed from the hinge and the door may then be closed.

The elastic part includes a buckling part (111) for absorbing shock by buckling; a compression part (130) for absorbing shock by compression; and an elastic air compression part for absorbing shock by sealing the inside air to compress inside air.
