Abstract: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes encoding a coded picture into a bitstream. A current supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message that comprises a decoding unit (DU) hypothetical reference decoder (HRD) parameters present flag (du_hrd_params_present_flag) is also encoded into the bitstream. The du_hrd_params_present_flag specifies whether DU level HRD parameters are present in the bitstream. A set of bitstream conformance tests is performed on the bitstream based on the current SEI message. The bitstream is stored for communication toward a decoder.

Abstract: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes encoding a bitstream comprising one or more output layer sets (OLSs). A video parameter set (VPS) specifying the OLS is also encoded into the bitstream. The VPS comprises sequence-level hypothetical reference decoder (HRD) parameters that apply to all OLSs specified by the VPS. A set of bitstream conformance tests are performed based on the sequence-level HRD parameters. The bitstream is stored for communication toward a decoder.

Abstract: A video coding mechanism for viewpoint dependent video coding is disclosed. The mechanism includes mapping a spherical video signal, stitched from multiple directional video signals, into a plurality of sub-picture video signals each containing a sequence of sub-pictures. The plurality of sub-picture video signals are encoded as a plurality of sub-picture bitstreams. The plurality of sub-picture bitstreams are composed into a plurality of sub-picture tracks to be compatible with a multi-bitstream merge function for reconstruction of the spherical video signal. A track level mergable indication is encoded within a track level box for the sub-picture tracks, which indicates the sub-picture tracks are compatible with the multi-bitstream merge function for reconstruction of the spherical video signal.

Abstract: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes receiving at a decoder, a bitstream including a video coding layer (VCL) network abstraction layer (NAL) unit containing a slice of image data divided into a plurality of tiles. A number of the tiles in the VCL NAL unit are determined. A number of entry point offsets for the tiles is also determined as one less than the number of the tiles in the VCL NAL unit. Each entry point offset indicates a starting location of a corresponding tile in the VCL NAL unit. The number of entry point offsets is not explicitly signaled in the bitstream. The entry point offsets for the tiles are obtained based on the number of entry point offsets. The tiles are decoded at the entry point offsets to generate a reconstructed image.

Abstract: A video coding mechanism is disclosed.
