Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. An information format and apparatus used by a base station to make a scheduling decision when the base station allocates resource to a terminal in a mobile communication system are provided. Operations of a terminal to report a maximum transmission power accurately to the base station in a scheduling process are also provided. A method for calculating a maximum transmit power in a constant manner regardless of a channel status is also provided.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for efficiently reporting user equipment (UE) are provided. A method of transmitting Power Headroom Report (PHR) of UE in a mobile communication system, includes configuring an evolved PHR including an indicator with respect of a variation factor of maximum transmission power of the UE, and transmitting the evolved PHR to an eNB. An eNB may know maximum transmission power of an UE and a variation factor thereof to enable efficient scheduling.

Abstract: A user equipment (2) has an ability to operate according to one or more spectrum emission requirement capability values (14) in a wireless communications network having at least a first serving cell (4). A message (6) is received at the user equipment (2) from the first serving cell (4) comprising a first indicator representing a first band designation (8), a second indicator representing a spectrum emission requirement value (10), and at least one additional indicator representing at least one additional spectrum emission requirement value (12), both the first and additional indicators relating to the first band designation. The user equipment (2) performs a comparison of the first and additional spectrum emission requirement values (10, 12) with the one or more spectrum emission requirement capability values (14) and determines a behaviour of the user equipment (2) in relation to the first serving cell (4) in dependence on the comparison.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting data using a multi-carrier in a mobile communication system. The method of transmitting data in user equipment of a wireless communication system using a carrier aggregation technique according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of setting secondary cells included in an S-TAG (Secondary-Timing Advance Group) configured of only secondary cells (SCells), deactivating a downlink timing reference cell in the S-TAG; determining whether other activated secondary cells exist besides the deactivated downlink timing reference cell in the S-TAG, and when the other activated secondary cells exist in the S-TAG, setting one of the other activated secondary cells as a new downlink timing reference cell. According to the present invention, uplink transmission speed can be increased in the user equipment and user QoS can be improved by transmitting data using one or more uplink carriers in the terminal.

According to the embodiment, the terminal can efficiently report channel state information.
