Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a method applicable to a fiber-optic transceiver including a transmitter optical subassembly (TOSA) provided therein with a laser diode, but without a monitoring photodiode, a laser driver controlled by a controller IC for driving the laser diode to generate a laser beam, and a thermal sensor for sensing temperature of the laser diode. The method includes executing an approximation process to characteristic data, i.e. threshold currents of the laser diode at a plurality of specific temperatures and corresponding slope efficiencies (SE), provided by manufacturer for obtaining relationship therebetween over entire temperature range, manually adjusting operation parameters (such as bias current and modulation current) of the laser diode for generating expected optical power and extinction ratio at a normal temperature and for subsequently determining the operation parameters over the entire temperature range, and writing the relationship and operation parameters thus obtained into the controller IC.
Abstract:
A broadband power line network device includes a printed circuit board, a power converter, a network control chip, a network connector, and an Ethernet signal coupling device. The printed circuit board includes a primary layout region and a secondary layout region. The primary layout region and the secondary layout region are separated from each other by a first distance. The power converter includes a pair of power-receiving terminals for receiving an AC voltage, thereby converting the AC voltage into a DC voltage. The network control chip is disposed on the primary layout region for receiving the DC voltage. The network connector is disposed on the secondary layout region for transmitting or receiving an external network signal. The Ethernet signal coupling device is arranged between the primary layout region and the secondary layout region.
Abstract:
A pivoting assembly with a positioning function includes a base and a casing assembled with the base. The base is provided with curved elastic arms and two fixing supports. Each fixing support has a pivotal hole. One surface of the casing is formed with a curved portion for allowing the curved elastic arm to abut against and two holes for allowing the fixing support to pass through. The other surface of the casing is formed with a protrusion pivotally connected to the pivotal hole. When the curved portion slides on the curved elastic arm, elastic abutment between the curved portion and the curved elastic arm makes the casing to be positioned by friction fit with respect to the base. By this structure, the present invention can be positioned without a positioning pin or bolt. Further, the present invention is simple in structure, easy to assemble and low in production cost.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for managing and setting many network devices, and the method is applied in a network management system. The network management system includes a management server and a plurality of network devices. The management server searches a network device connected to the management server and specifies one of the network devices connected to the management server as a master network device, and then searches all network devices that can be connected to the master network device. The searched network devices are set as candidate network devices and at least one candidate network device is set as a slave network device of the master network device, such that a single IP address of the master network device can be used for managing the slave network devices, and the management server can be used for managing many network devices distributed at different places.
Abstract:
A video/audio broadcasting system and customized video/audio broadcasting method selects a corresponding graphic user interface among multiple graphic user interfaces according to an operation of a user on the video/audio broadcasting system, and uses the corresponding graphic user interface to operate the video/audio broadcasting system, for receiving and broadcasting corresponding contents of a video/audio signal.
Abstract:
A power line adapter and its controlling method to be operated in a power-saving mode are disclosed. The power line adapter includes a power-transmitting module for generating a DC supply voltage and a data-transmitting module for transmitting data. Furthermore, the data-transmitting module at least includes a power line communication circuit and an Ethernet physical layer transceiver. The controlling method comprises steps of: monitoring a link signal generated by the Ethernet physical layer transceiver when the power line adapter is operated in an active mode; and, disconnecting the DC supply voltage to the power line communication circuit and entering the power-saving mode if the link signal indicates a disconnection over a first time period.
Abstract:
The present invention applies management frame defined in IEEE 802.11 standard to a wireless distribution system (WDS) mode by adding an information element (IE) into the management frame, which enables any access point (AP) in WDS to maintain IE based on its own setting and state, then send IE via the management frame for providing state of the AP under WDS mode, determine whether a physical link (i.e., a wireless link between APs) should be established therewith based on received IE, and maintain the established physical link through the wireless management frame in a real time manner. Thus, the existence and necessity of the physical link between different APs in WDS can be determined correctly.
Abstract:
This invention is a wireless electronic product including a printed circuit board and a signal line installed at an end of the printed circuit board, wherein a wideband antenna is installed on the printed circuit board and has a shape extending from an another end of the printed circuit board towards the central position of the printed circuit board to form a symmetrical step-shaped antenna, and a microstrip feedline is extended from an end of the wideband antenna away from the another end of the printed circuit board and coupled with the signal line, such that the current produced by microstrip feedline due to an electro-inductive effect can flow along a step-shaped path on both sides of the wideband antenna, and the current can be distributed uniformly on the wideband antenna to effectively reduce the electro-inductive effect of the microstrip feedline.
Abstract:
This invention is a method and an apparatus of accessing a network storage device in different private networks through an instant messenger, which is applied in a network system having a first private network including at least one NAT router and at least one computer, a second private network including at least one NAT router and at least one network storage device, the Internet, and an instant messenger server installed with an instant messenger system. The computer and the network storage device are connected to the instant messenger server by the NAT router of the private network via the Internet. The method installs an instant messenger application program on the computer and the network storage device, so that both of them can use the instant messenger application program to login to the instant messenger server, and communicate with other computers logined to the instant messenger server for files transfer.
