摘要: According to the method for characterizing fancy yarn, at least one characteristic of the fancy yarn is scanned along the longitudinal direction of the fancy yarn. Values of the scanning are evaluated and the results of the evaluation are outputted. The results of the evaluation are the fancy yarn parameters such as base yarn mass, base yarn diameter, slub distance, mass increase of a slub, slub diameter increase, slub diameter, slub length and/or slub total mass. On evaluation, a measurement curve is produced from the values of the scanning, and an area (A(x)) between the measurement curve and a previously determined base yarn mass is computed. A permanent increase in the course of the area (A(x)) is used as a criterion for the presence of a slub. Slubs may be differentiated from yarn imperfections in a reliable manner by way of the area (A(x)).

摘要: The invention relates to a device for detecting foreign substances in a thread using a detector which line-scans the thread, the latter being lit by an illumination element. The aim of the invention is to provide a means of continuously testing the thread with good resolution and at a high speed. To this end, the inventive device consists of a compact unit made up of a sensor or a detector, an objective and an illumination element. These elements have a common axis and the illumination element enables the thread to be illuminated with a very high light intensity. To this end, the illumination element (1) is hemispherical and has light sources which are distributed across the hemisphere (5).

摘要: In a method and a device for identifying foreign bodies in a base textile material, the base textile material is subjected to beams and the beams reflected on the base material are detected and converted into an electrical signal. In order to detect foreign bodies in the material in a targeted manner and to differentiate them from each other, so all or only the unwanted foreign bodies can be, for example, eliminated, the beams have two defined and different wavelength ranges and the reflected beams are simultaneously and jointly detected from the two wavelength ranges. Preferably, a first defined wavelength range can be selected in such a way that the beams reflected on the base material provide random values in the electrical signal, for at least two different foreign bodies, and another defined wavelength range for the beams is selected in such a way that the reflected beams provide an electrical signal for the two foreign bodies, in a different ratio from the first wavelength range. The device contains a radiation source for radiation in at least two wavelength ranges, and a receiver for measuring the beams which are fully reflected by the material.

摘要: An instrument for identifying at least one of fiber blend composition and fiber blend ratio in an input material moved by a third set of fiber movements. A second spectral radiation source directs radiation toward the input material. A second spectral sensor receives portions of the second radiation that pass through the input material. A third spectral sensor receives portions of the second radiation that reflect off of the input material. A controller processes the signals from at least one of the second spectral sensor and the third spectral sensor to determine at least one of the fiber blend composition and the fiber blend ratio in the input material. The controller also sends control signals to the second electromagnetic radiation source and the third set of fiber movements.

摘要: An apparatus for processing a sample including fibers and trash, having a cylinder rotating in a first direction for receiving the sample. The cylinder has a surface with rigid pins. The pins engage and retain the fibers of the sample. A collection surface receives the trash that falls from the cylinder. A counter-flow of air moves in a separation region between the cylinder and the collection surface in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to and towards the underside of the cylinder. The counter-flow of air has at each position within the separation region an air-flow velocity that is sufficient for the counter-flow of air to blow the fibers that are not originally retained by the pins up toward the cylinder and thereby engaging the fibers with the cylinder, and yet insufficient to prevent gravity from pulling the trash downward through the counter-flow of air.

摘要: An apparatus for measuring the weight of impurities in a cotton sample, with a double-taker-in-roll mechanism. The apparatus includes the following components: an air current channel, a fiber feeding device located at the front end of the air current channel; a primary taker-in cylinder located behind the fiber feeding construction; a stationary stripping device located near the surface of the primary taker-in cylinder; a secondary taker-in cylinder adjacent to the surface of the primary taker-in cylinder and located behind the primary taker-in cylinder; an impurity collecting apparatus located below the primary taker-in cylinder and the secondary taker-in cylinder; and an impurity measurement apparatus connected with the impurity collecting apparatus. After double impurity removal with the primary taker-in cylinder and the secondary taker-in cylinder, the impurities are removed from the cotton sample more completely compared with the prior single taker-in cylinder structure, making the impurity measurement value more accurate.

摘要: The device is used for the automatic determination of characteristics on textile test material such as yarns, rovings, and slivers. A path is provided for the test material, through which path the test material is moved in its longitudinal direction. At least one measuring element for measuring a parameter of the test material is arranged along the path. In order to reduce the depositing of loose fibers, dust, or dirt particles, a plurality of suction elements, which are arranged along the path and spaced apart from one another, are provided and generate a vacuum, by means of which the undesired particles are sucked from the path.
