摘要： A carton with an improved dispenser at an end of the carton which preserves the integrity of the carton when it is opened while permitting the bottom end flaps attached to the bottom panel to remain in place and also a portion of each side end flap that overlaps the bottom end flaps. This dispenser has a bottom tear line in the end of the carton which only extends partially across the end of the carton. The tear line extends upwardly from each side of the bottom tear line to form end retainers to prevent cans in the second row of the carton from rolling out. By placing the bottom tear line no higher from the bottom of the carton than necessary to retain a can in the bottom row and to make the end retainers on each side of the carton no larger than necessary to restrain a can in the second row from rolling out, easy access to the cans on the bottom row of containers is provided after the cans in the second and third rows of the carton have been removed. This dispenser may also provide a safety net for the first can dispensed.The top tear line in the top panel for forming the dispenser flap is located from the exiting end of the carton at a distance that is significantly less than the diameter of a can to be contained in the carton. Preferably this distance is between 70 and 85% of the diameter of a container to be contained in the carton, but can be as short at 50% of the diameter of a container plus approximately three millimeters.

The top of the dispenser is at a height from the bottom panel that is equal to diameter of a can contained in the carton plus the distance that is substantially less than the diameter of a can, such height being sufficient to prevent any container in the middle row from automatically rolling out of the dispenser when opened, but allowing a person to grasp and pull out the container in the middle row that is adjacent to the dispenser.

摘要： The carton of this invention is capable of carrying the plurality of containers stacked upon their ends in two tiers with a unique dispenser that permits the dispensing of containers on their sides. The dispenser is formed in a top side wall and extends into the end wall with most of the end wall being torn open but leaving a portion near the bottom side wall to prevent the bottom layer of containers from rolling out. Angled projections in the dispensing end of the carton near the top panel and bottom panel prevent the top layer of containers from rolling out. A divider is provided to facilitate loading the two tiers of containers and an end of the divider is folded down to facilitate its correct placement on the bottom tier of cans. A slit is provided between the two end portions of the divider so cans can be removed from the dispenser without being impeded by the divider being in the way.

摘要： A basket-style article carrier for carrying nonbreakable articles. A divider strap is connected to and extends between opposite side panels. The strap is connected to the side panels by a glue flap at each end, one of which is connected by fold line to the upper edge of the associated side panel. The strap causes the carrier to resist bowing when an article is removed, thereby preventing excessive sagging which otherwise tends to allow the remaining articles in the carrier to fall out.

摘要： An improved package lock is disclosed that may be used in a folding carton package of the type having an inner and outer flap which are double locked together, that is with at least one primary lock utilized in combination with at least one secondary lock with the secondary lock functioning to keep the primary lock from disengaging. The subject invention comprises the inner flap having formed thereon a primary female lock adjacent to the edge of the inner flap and the inner flap also having formed adjacent and separate from the primary lock, a secondary male lock. The new and improved lock structure may be utilized for an end-loading type package and also for a wrap-around type package.
