Abstract: A touch sensor panel may be provided that includes: a plurality of drive electrodes which extend in a first layer in a first axial direction and sense touch; a plurality of dummy drive electrodes which extend in the first layer in the first axial direction and do not sense the touch; a plurality of receiving electrodes which extend in a second layer in a second axial direction crossing the first axial direction and sense the touch; and a plurality of dummy receiving electrodes which extend in the second layer in the second axial direction and do not sense the touch. Abstract: A touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided that includes: a display module; and a pressure sensor which is disposed at a position where a distance between the pressure sensor and a reference potential layer is changeable according to the touch on the touch surface. The distance is changeable according to a pressure magnitude of the touch. The pressure sensor outputs a signal including information on a capacitance which is changed according to the distance. The pressure sensor includes a plurality of electrodes to form a plurality of channels. The pressure magnitude of the touch is detected on the basis of a change amount of the capacitance detected in each of the channels. According to the embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to provide a pressure sensor for pressure detection, a touch input device including the same, and a pressure detection method using the same. In addition, according to the embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to provide the pressure sensor having a high-pressure detection accuracy of the touch and the touch input device including the pressure sensor.

Abstract: An electrode sheet disposed in a touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided. The touch input device includes: a display module; a pressure electrode disposed under the display module; and a reference pressure electrode disposed under the display module. A distance between the pressure electrode and a reference potential layer is changed when the pressure is applied to the touch surface. A capacitance detected at the pressure electrode is changed according to the distance change. A magnitude of the pressure applied to the touch surface is calculated on the basis of a difference between a reference capacitance calculated from a capacitance detected at the reference pressure electrode and a detected capacitance calculated from the capacitance detected at the pressure electrode.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for operating a camera included in a touch input device including a touch screen is disclosed. A processor determines a capacitance pattern for a varying capacitance throughout the touch screen when the touch screen is underwater and no touch input occurs. The processor resets a varying reference capacitance for determining whether a touch input by an object occurs or not, the varying reference capacitance being reset based on the determined capacitance pattern when the touch screen is underwater and no touch input occurs. The touch screen receives a touch pressure by the object underwater. Operation of the camera is controlled according to the touch pressure to the touch screen.

Abstract: A touch input device may be provided that includes: a first cover layer; a spacer layer; a display panel which includes a first substrate layer and a second substrate layer disposed under the first substrate layer; a first electrode and a second electrode which are disposed between the first substrate layer and the second substrate layer; and a third electrode and a fourth electrode which are disposed on the display panel. At least one of the first electrode and the second electrode is used to drive the display panel. A touch position is detected based on a capacitance which changes as an object approaches a touch sensor including at least one of the first electrode, the second electrode, the third electrode, and the fourth electrode and which is detected from the touch sensor. A touch pressure is detected based on a capacitance which is changed by change of a distance between the object and a pressure sensor including at least one of the first electrode, the second electrode, the third electrode, and the fourth electrode and which is detected from the pressure sensor. The spacer layer is disposed between the first cover layer and the pressure sensor.

Abstract: A method for correcting a touch pressure sensitivity may be provided that includes: a modeling profile data generation step of generating modeling profile data on the basis of a plurality of collected profile data; and a set profile data generation step of generating set profile data on the basis of the modeling profile data and a reference data of a predetermined touch input device. As a result, it is possible to correct the touch pressure sensitivity of a predetermined touch input device such that the touch pressure is sensed with a uniform sensitivity on the entire display surface of the touch input device.
