Abstract: A touch input device may be provided that includes: a first cover layer; a spacer layer; a display panel which includes a first substrate layer and a second substrate layer disposed under the first substrate layer; a first electrode and a second electrode which are disposed between the first substrate layer and the second substrate layer; and a third electrode and a fourth electrode which are disposed on the display panel. At least one of the first electrode and the second electrode is used to drive the display panel. A touch position is detected based on a capacitance which changes as an object approaches a touch sensor including at least one of the first electrode, the second electrode, the third electrode, and the fourth electrode and which is detected from the touch sensor. A touch pressure is detected based on a capacitance which is changed by change of a distance between the object and a pressure sensor including at least one of the first electrode, the second electrode, the third electrode, and the fourth electrode and which is detected from the pressure sensor. The spacer layer is disposed between the first cover layer and the pressure sensor.

Abstract: An image capturing method that includes: detecting a pressure touch with a pressure having a magnitude greater than a predetermined magnitude on a touch screen; determining an initial touch position and a final touch position of the pressure touch; setting an area defined by the initial touch position and the final touch position as a capture area; and obtaining an image displayed in the set capture area. As a result, it is possible to easily capture images displayed on the mobile terminal in various ways.

Abstract: A mobile terminal may be provided that includes: a touch screen which detects touch information including a touch pressure; a camera unit which is operable in a plurality of photographing modes; a control unit which, when a touch pressure having a magnitude greater than a predetermined magnitude is applied to the touch screen while photographing a subject in a first photographing mode among the plurality of photographing modes, switches the photographing mode to a second photographing mode and controls the subject to be photographed. Since the mobile terminal according to the embodiment of the present invention uses a control method based on a touch pressure, it is possible to very easily switching various photographing modes including the picture photographing mode and the video photographing mode.
