The invention relates to a cellular radio system wherein a communication terminal receives servo power instruction from a base station with which a radio communication comprising first uplink and downlink channels is established. In response to an instruction for changing a channel (13), the terminal records a first power level received from the base station and a reference power on which the terminal transmitted when the instruction was received. The terminal endeavours to continue communication on new uplink and downlink channels interrupting the transmission on the first uplink channel. If failed, the terminal evaluates a second power level received from the base station and restarts to transmit through the first uplink channel at a power determined according to the reference power and a variation between the first and second power level.

The invention concerns a method which consists in allocating to a base station, at a control member of the base station, a list of channels shared by several terminals containing several sets of shared channels. For a communication session between the base station and a specific terminal, it consists in indicating to the terminal the list of shared channels allocated to the base station. At the base station, it consists in selecting for the terminal one of the sets of shared channels, and independently of the control member, indicating the selected set to the terminal via a dedicated channel.

The vector Y may be broken down into Y=AD+YN, where A is a matrix of size L×N previously determined from measurements of at least one transmission channel reply and YN represents a vector of L noise samples. The method includes determining an upper triangular matrix T of size N×N and a vector Z of size N such that the quadratic criteria ∥TX−Z∥2 and ∥AX−Y∥2 are minimal for the same vector X of size N, and dividing the vector Z and the matrix T into blocks so as to operate a minimisation of the quadratic criterion block by block along the diagonal of matrix T.
