摘要： In a first aspect of the invention, an information display panel, in which at least one group of display media having optical reflectance and charge characteristics, formed by at least one group of particles, are scaled in a cell (corresponding to one display unit) formed by partition walls between two substrates, at least one substrate being transparent, and, in which the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as an image, includes (1) a color filter formed by arranging filters having a predetermined numbers of colors on a transparent substrate at a display side so as to perform a color display, and a black layer arranged between the partition walls and the transparent substrate. In a second and a third aspects of the invention, an information display panel, in which at least one group of display media having optical reflectance and charge characteristics, formed by at least one group of particles, are sealed in a cell (corresponding to one display unit) formed by partition walls between two substrates, at least one substrate being transparent, and, in which the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as a color image, includes (2) transparent color filters having three primary colors respectively arranged to one cell, and a colorless transparent clear portion arranged to the respective transparent color filters, and (3) transparent color filters having three primary colors respectively arranged to three pixels formed by dividing respective display units by means of partition walls, and a colorless transparent clear portion arranged to the respective transparent color filters.

摘要： In an information display panel having an information display portion, in which a voltage is applied between pixel electrodes arranged respectively to substrates and display media are driven so as to display information such as an image, the information display panel has: an electrode-wiring concentrated portion in which electrode-wirings derived from the pixel electrodes on both substrates are concentrated at the outer side of the information display portion so as to connect with a connecting terminal portion used for connecting with an external driving circuit; and a frame rib arranged outside of the information display portion; wherein the electrode-wirings connected to the pixel electrodes arranged on one substrate are electrically connected to the electrode-wirings on the other substrate, at the outer side of the information display portion by using a sealing agent including conductive particles, wherein a width of the frame rib corresponding to the electrode-wiring concentrated portion is formed wider than that of the other portion of the frame rib, wherein an opening at an end portion of the substrate corresponding to the electrode-wiring concentrated portion is filled by a moisture-proof material, and wherein the sealing agent including conductive particles is arranged at a portion other than the electrode-wiring concentrated portion.

摘要： A method of manufacturing an image display panel, having one or more cells formed in an isolated manner from one another by partition walls and accommodating image display media and a plurality of image display elements, in which the image display media are sealed between opposed two substrates, at least one of the two substrates being transparent, and, in which the image display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display an image, characterized in that the improvement comprises the steps of: (1) manufacturing a substrate with the partition walls on one substrate; applying an adhesive mixture obtained by mixing a photo-curing resin and a heat-hardening resin on the partition walls; and then connecting the other substrate to the partition walls through the adhesive mixture, the steps of: (2) manufacturing a substrate with the partition walls by forming the partition walls on one substrate; performing a washing by a dry treatment with respect to the thus manufactured substrate with the partition walls; applying an adhesive on the partition walls; and connecting the other substrate to the partition walls through the adhesive, or the steps of: (3) manufacturing the partition walls on one substrate by means of a pale color resist; applying an adhesive colored by a dark color on the partition walls; and connecting the other substrate to the partition walls through the adhesive.

摘要： An information display device has an information display plate where at least one or more kinds of particles are sealed between cells formed by a partition wall, the cells being between two opposite substrates at least either of which is transparent. At least either of electrodes is provided on a substrate, and an electric field is applied to the particles by the electrodes to move the particles, causing information such as an image to be displayed on the display plate. The surfaces of the substrates are smoothed by making D≧2H satisfied, with D being the diameter of a particle (a particle forming the particles), H the height of the electrodes. This thins the electrodes as much as possible (making the height of the electrodes small) and smoothes the surfaces of the substrates, and as a result, the information display device after an endurance test has an improved contrast ratio.
