Abstract:
Permanent magnetic materials comprising an Nd—Fe—B alloy and an additive comprising at least one boride are disclosed. The boride may be a lanthanide boride being about 0.01% to about 5% of the alloy by weight. In some instances, the lanthanide boride may be at least one of DyB6, GdB6, TbB6, SmB6, or mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
A cost efficient multi-band antenna, for use with non-harmonically related frequency bands, for example dual Wi-Fi frequency bands. An antenna element extends away from a ground plane. A sleeve positioned coaxial about the antenna element is spaced apart from the antenna element and the ground plane. Dimensions, spacing and dielectric constants of the antenna element, sleeve and any dielectric spacers are selected to tune the antenna to the desired frequency bands. Further, the ground plane may be the radiating element of, for example a GPS module or SDAR antenna to create a triple frequency band antenna assembly.
Abstract:
A holster for a handheld, power intensive electronic device, such as a cellular telephone, incorporates within it a supplemental battery pack. The supplemental battery pack is used to recharge or maintain main, onboard battery pack of the cellular telephone and also to power certain supplemental circuits. The use of the docking-holster at least doubles the useful life of the device battery, which may be kept conveniently small.
Abstract:
An improved glass mount antenna system employs a pair of coupling plates having planar cavities disposed therein with any ground plane portion thereof. Surfaces of the coupling plates which are opposite that of the ground plane include a printed exciter strip which crosses the planar cavities to thereby provide an effective communications antenna assembly which is inexpensive to manufacture and especially well suited for high frequency communication operations such as the ultra-high frequency microwave bands of between 1.5 GHz and about 2.4 GHz which are currently intended for PCN/PCS communications.
Abstract:
Pet food, including processed low-value freshwater fish, corn or sweet potato, soybean or double-low rapeseed, vitamin complex, trace elements, and beef flavor or chicken flavor. The weight ratio of the processed low-value freshwater fish to the corn or the sweet potato and to the soybean or the double-low rapeseed is 1:(1.2-2):1, the beef flavor or the chicken flavor accounts for 0.1% of the sum of the by-products, the corn or the sweet potato, and the soybean or the double-low rapeseed by weight, the vitamin complex accounts for 0.1% of the sum of the processed low-value freshwater fish, the corn or the sweet potato, and the soybean or the double-low rapeseed by weight, and the trace elements accounts for 0.2% of the sum of the processed low-value freshwater fish, the corn or the sweet potato, and the soybean or the double-low rapeseed by weight.
Abstract:
A multi-band antenna is provided that operates in non-harmonically related frequency bands. The antenna includes a primary antenna element for a first frequency band of the non-harmonically related bands, said primary antenna element extending perpendicularly from a ground plane, the primary antenna element electrically isolated from the ground plane, a plurality of secondary elements extending from the ground plane parallel to the primary antenna element and arranged in a circle around the primary antenna element, each of said plurality of secondary elements electrically isolated from the primary antenna element and ground plane and a plurality of antenna elements for a second frequency band of a higher relative frequency than the first frequency band, the plurality of high frequency antenna elements extending parallel to the primary and secondary antenna elements and disposed in a circle around the secondary antenna elements.
Abstract:
A wireless intelligent personal server includes a radio frequency (RF) receiver, a memory for storing electronic files, a set of embedded machine language instructions, a central processing unit (CPU), a first interface for a display device, such as a personal digital assistant (PDA), and a second interface for a wireless telephone. The RF receiver receives downstream data transmitted over a downstream wireless communications channel. The CPU executes the machine language instructions to process the downstream data and, thereby, either update an existing target electronic file stored in the memory, so that the target electronic file reflects changes made to a source electronic file, or create a new electronic file in the memory. A display device may be brought into communication with the wireless intelligent personal server, via the first interface, to access the electronic files stored in the memory. The wireless intelligent personal server may also transmit an upstream signal over an upstream wireless communication channel, such as by using a wireless telephone, in communication via the second interface. The upstream signal may acknowledge receipt of the downstream data, or it may include upstream data reflecting changes to the electronic files stored in the memory made by the display device.

A satellite antenna with a radiator element arranged between a ring element and a ground plane. The radiator element arranged in a substantially parallel orientation and electrically isolated from the ring element and the ground plane. The antenna elements may be dimensioned for reception of SDAR frequency bands.
Abstract:
A low cost window-mounted antenna system for mobile communication systems operating at frequencies in and above the 1.5 GHz band includes an annular ring aperture coupler fabricated on printed circuit boards on each side of the window, with a microstrip line etched on each of the printed circuit boards. A collinear array-type whip antenna with a 1/2-wavelength lower section is used with the coupler. A coplanar waveguide trace is printed on the outside coupling unit to form an impedance matching network for the active element. The RF signal is thus electro-magnetically coupled through the window.
