    Abstract: Footwear includes a shell including an outsole portion; and a sole body including a footbed portion. The footbed portion includes a shock absorbing portion formed of a three-dimensional mesh structure body so as to extend to a peripheral surface of the footbed portion. An engaged portion is disposed in an inner side surface of the outsole portion, and an engaging portion is disposed in a portion of the shock absorbing portion that corresponds to the peripheral surface. One of the engaged portion and the engaging portion is a protruding portion while the other one of the engaged portion and the engaging portion is a cutout portion provided as a recessed portion or a hole portion. An occupied volume ratio of a region including at least a portion defining the engaging portion in the shock absorbing portion is locally increased.

    Abstract: A prediction device includes: a communication device that acquires measurement subject data including measurement data of a shape of a foot of a measurement subject person in a loaded state; a storage that stores first sample data in the loaded state and second sample data in an unloaded state, the first sample data and the second sample data being calculated from measurement data of foot shapes of a plurality of samples, the samples being identical both in the loaded state and the unloaded state; and a processor that predicts the shape of the foot of the measurement subject person in the unloaded state. The processor calculates a difference between the measurement subject data and the first sample data, and predicts the shape of the foot of the measurement subject person in the unloaded state based on the difference and the second sample data.

    Abstract: A shock absorber has a first and second end surfaces opposite to each other in an axial direction, and a plurality of connection surfaces. The first end surface is an N-sided polygon (N is an integer of 3 or more and the second end surface is an M-sided polygon (M is an integer of 4 or more and more than N). (M−N) vertices are provided at intermediate positions in the axial direction on a circumferential surface defined by the plurality of connection surfaces. From the vertices, one first ridgeline reaches one vertex of the first end surface and two second ridgelines reach a corresponding one of two vertices of the second end surface. The remaining vertices are connected to each other by (2×N−M) third ridgelines. The first ridgeline, the second ridgelines, and the third ridgelines define the plurality of connection surfaces.
