Abstract: A shock absorber includes a three-dimensional structure composed of a unit structure repeatedly, regularly and continuously arranged in at least one direction, the unit structure being a three-dimensional shape formed by a wall having an external shape defined by a pair of parallel planes or curved surfaces. When the unit structure occupies a cuboidal space representing a unit space and defined by mutually orthogonal three sides having a first side extending in an axial direction in which the shock absorber exhibits a shock absorbing function as the shock absorber receives a load and second and third sides each extending from one end of the first side in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction, and the first side has a length L1 and a longer one of the second and third sides has a length L2, the shock absorber satisfies 1.1≤L1/L2≤4.0.

Abstract: In a running style analysis device, a first cadence acquirer 76 acquires, with regard to running of a subject, a cadence at a first running speed as a first cadence. A second cadence acquirer 77 acquires, with regard to running of the subject, a cadence at a second running speed that is different from the first running speed, as a second cadence. A judgment unit 80 makes judgment as to which of multiple running style types, which include a long stride type and a high cadence type, running of the subject falls under, based on the difference between the first cadence and the second cadence with respect to the difference between the first running speed and the second running speed. A result output unit 92 outputs a result of the judgment.

Abstract: A sole includes: a midsole main body; an elastic portion; and a pressing member. The midsole main body includes a containing portion. The elastic portion is contained in the containing portion in a compressed state. The pressing member has an elastic modulus higher than an elastic modulus of the elastic portion in the compressed state, and presses the elastic portion so that the elastic portion is maintained in the compressed state. The elastic modulus of the elastic portion in the compressed state is larger than an elastic modulus of the midsole main body.

Abstract: A shoe including: an upper that includes a first layer made of knitted fabric and a second layer made of knitted fabric arranged inside the first layer, wherein at least one of the first layer and the second layer includes first yarns and second yarns as yarns for forming the knitted fabric, wherein the first yarns have a heat shrinkability, wherein the second yarns have a higher fusion point than that of the first yarns, and wherein the at least one of the first layer and the second layer including the first yarns and the second yarns has a higher heat shrinkage rate in a width direction than in a longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A shock absorber has a first and second end surfaces opposite to each other in an axial direction, and a plurality of connection surfaces. The first end surface is an N-sided polygon (N is an integer of 3 or more and the second end surface is an M-sided polygon (M is an integer of 4 or more and more than N). (M−N) vertices are provided at intermediate positions in the axial direction on a circumferential surface defined by the plurality of connection surfaces. From the vertices, one first ridgeline reaches one vertex of the first end surface and two second ridgelines reach a corresponding one of two vertices of the second end surface. The remaining vertices are connected to each other by (2×N−M) third ridgelines. The first ridgeline, the second ridgelines, and the third ridgelines define the plurality of connection surfaces.
