Abstract: Concepts and technologies for video alternate network access points and receivers that enable wireless delivery of video content to multiple customer premises over a service area are provided herein. In an embodiment, a system includes a satellite dish receiver that is configured to receive a satellite video feed, and a video alternate network access point that is communicatively coupled to the satellite dish receiver. The video alternate network access point can perform operations that ingest the satellite video feed directly from the satellite dish receiver. The operations can activate a microcell transceiver embedded within the video alternate network access point, and identify a multicast-broadcast single-frequency network channel. The operations can then transmit, to a video alternate network receiver device from the microcell transceiver, the satellite video feed over at least the multicast-broadcast single-frequency network channel.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a solution to assign values to personal objects. These values can be calculated based on a number of criteria and stored for the objects. Future values can also be projected. Types of value can include monetary, sentimental, and donation value. Personal objects, such as objects within the inventory of a house, apartment, or other dwelling, can be tagged using a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or other tag that has at least a memory store, an antenna for communication within a near-field range, and optionally, a power supply, such as a battery. Such a tag can be applied to, or otherwise associated with, a personal object, such as a chair, a piece of artwork, or any other tangible object. The memory can be used to contain data associated with the object, which can be accessed via an RFID reader, which can be used to collect objects into an object inventory.

Abstract: Facilitating support functionalities through a support appliance device in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, and beyond) is provided herein. A method can comprise facilitating, by a support appliance device comprising a processor, a dedicated communication link with a remote support entity via a secure internet connection. The method also can comprise, based on a receipt of a request for an active session, establishing, by the support appliance device, the active session with the remote support entity via the dedicated communication link. Further, the method can comprise receiving, by the support appliance device, input data associated with an item. The method also can comprise outputting, by the support appliance device, an indication on the item based on the support appliance device being in proximity of the item. An instruction related to the indication can be controlled by the remote support entity and implemented by the support appliance device.

Abstract: A system can be operable to receive a call from a communication device and identify whether the call is a spoofed based on, for example, whether a caller party user equipment associated with a caller identification number (caller ID number) is in an “idle” status, whether there are inconsistencies in the geographic location associated with a calling party's network and the geographic location determined to be associated with the caller ID number presented, and whether the phone number presented as the caller ID number is registered with a calling party's network.

Abstract: Various devices for sterilizing a surface and an object in contact with the surface are disclosed. For example, a first device includes an ultraviolet light source, a touch sensor, a processing system, and a computer-readable medium. The computer-readable medium stores instructions which, when executed by the processing system, cause the processing system to perform operations that include detecting, via the touch sensor, a tactile state of the device, detecting a tactile state of at least one additional device, determining, based upon the tactile states, that the device is on an edge of a pattern of contact between an object and a surface comprising the device and the at least one additional device, and implementing an action associated with the ultraviolet light source in response to determining that the device is on the edge of the pattern of contact.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable storage media are provided to sense and protect against liquid in contact with a mobile electronic device. An example method includes determining, with one or more of a plurality of liquid sensors, that liquid has come into contact with at least one of an internal surface of a mobile electronic device and an external surface of a mobile electronic device. In response to the determining that liquid has come into contact with the at least one of an internal surface of a mobile electronic device and an external surface of a mobile electronic device, the method includes informing a user of the mobile electronic device that the mobile electronic device has come into contact with the liquid, and sealing a port of the mobile electronic device.
