Abstract:
The invention relates to an aqueous dye solution comprising a) 5 to 30% by weight of an anionic or cationic direct dye, b) 0.01 to 5% by weight of the compound of formula (1), in which M represents hydrogen, an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal, ammonium or ammonium, that is mono-, di-, tri- or tetra-substituted by C1-C4alkyl or C2-C4hydroxyalkyl or mixtures thereof, c) 0 to 10% by weight of an inorganic or an organic acid, d) 0 to 20% by weight of further additives and e) water to complete to 100%, with the proviso that direct dyes of the formula (2) in which K is a residue of a coupling component of the acetoacetanilide, pyridone, pyrazolone or pyrimidine series and M is as defined above, are excluded, a process for their preparation and the use thereof for dyeing paper.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shading process characterized by using a composition comprising a phthalocyanine to which at least one dyestuff is attached through a covalent bonding, to shading compositions, to new compounds used in these shading compositions as well as to the production of these new compounds.
Abstract:
The present invention provides coating compositions comprising (i) a) a compound containing a free carbonyl group and b) a nucleophile or (ii) a compound containing a free carbonyl group, which compound is substituted with one or more nucleophilic groups. The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of these compositions, substrates coated with these compositions and a process for their preparation, a process for preparing marked substrates using these compositions, and marked substrates obtainable by the latter process.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The dyes of formula (1) according to claim 1 and the copper complexes of dyes of formula (2) according to claim 9 or the mixtures of mono-copper complex with the bis-copper complex are excellently suitable for dyeing paper with good light-fastness properties.
Abstract:
Use of the mono-copper complex of a dye of formula (1) wherein Z1, Z2, R1, R2, R3, R4, X, n and m are as defined in the claims, and mixtures thereof with the bis-copper complex of such a dye, for dyeing natural and synthetic material.
