摘要： A structure for transmitting a driving force from a camera body side to a cartridge chamber cover side in order to automatically operate a safety mechanism section of a safety locking mechanism installed inside the cover. The safety locking mechanism includes a locking mechanism section for locking the cover relative to the camera body; an unlocking operation member for manually releasing the locking mechanism section; and a safety mechanism section for selectively prohibiting or permitting the operation of the unlocking operation member. The driving force for automatically operating the safety mechanism section is transmitted from the camera body to the safety mechanism section through a winding spool of a film cartridge loaded inside the camera body.

摘要： A simple and compact opening and shutting apparatus for a film cartridge which has a cylindrical body. The apparatus includes an opening section projecting over the body. The opening section has a film opening and a film cover which opens and shuts the film opening. The apparatus also includes a chamber which holds the cartridge and has a loading opening for loading the cartridge into the chamber. A cartridge cover opens and shuts the loading opening, and there is provided a lock for the film cover. A driver couples the cartridge cover, and a connector connects the lock with the driver so that the film cover is opened when the cartridge cover is shut. The connector is arranged in a concave area which is formed by the surface of the cylindrical body of the cartridge and the opening section projecting over the body.

摘要： A camera using a film cartridge having a shaft for winding a film and intercepting light, includes: a cartridge chamber for accommodating the film cartridge; a driving unit; a driving source for generating force for driving the driving unit; a transmitting device; and a limiting device. The driving member engages the shaft of the film cartridge accommodated in the cartridge chamber, and rotates the shaft in the film unwinding direction to remove the film from the film cartridge. The transmitting device is provided between the driving source and the driving unit, and transmits the force generated by the driving source to the driving unit. The limiting device is provided in the transmitting device, and limits the force to be transmitted to the driving unit so as to feed the film in the film unwinding direction.

摘要： An auto focus camera includes a usual zoom lens and provides a pseudo focal length mode, in which the size of focus condition detecting area, to the photographing scene to be printed, is variable. A pseudo focal length is stored and a focus condition is detected in accordance with a ray of light passed through the zoom lens. When the camera is in such a mode as to continuously detect focus condition for keeping an object in focus, or to be operated when the contrast of the object whose focus condition is detected is low, the focal length of the zoom lens and the pseudo focal length are controlled respectively in accordance with the mode.

摘要： A camera using a film of cartridge type. A strip of film is accommodated in a shell in the form of a roll filmstrip which is wound on a film spool. The film is automatically loaded into the camera when the film cartridge is accommodated in a cartridge chamber of the camera. When the film spool is rotated in the roll filmstrip loosening direction, the filmstrip is fed forward from the shell through the film exit of the film cartridge. When the film spool is rotated in the opposite direction, the film is rewound and drawn back into the shell. The camera is provided with a receiving member between the cartridge chamber and a film exposing opening. The receiving member engages the film exit of the film cartridge accommodated in the cartridge chamber. Consequently, the space in the shell of the film cartridge and the space in the film exposing opening are connected with each other in light-intercepted condition. The film cartridge and the receiving member are pressed against each other.

摘要： A top cover mounting construction for a camera includes a rearwardly bulged portion in an upper portion of a rear lid of the camera which is located on the side of a grip portion and a top cover having a bulged portion contiguous to the bulged portion of the rear lid. The top cover mounting constructon includes a set screw driven into the bottom surface of the bulged portion of the top cover through a screw insert aperture in a camera body portion under the bottom surface of the bulged portion. The set screw is completely concealed behind the rear lid and in the bulged portion of the top cover, and is easily accessible when the rear lid is opened or removed.
