摘要： In a method and apparatus for casting or molding cages for rolling elements, two slides are provided for each pocket. The slides have an engaging, inclined surface, and are shaped to permit one of the slides to be removed by initially sliding it along the inclined surface. The other slide may thereby be moved laterally in the formed pocket, and withdrawn from the pocket. Facing slides of adjacent pockets may be joined together, with limited movement possible therein, to form a complete ring serving as a mold member.

摘要： A clutch release device has a pressure plate mounted on a sliding sleeve, and a stationary ring of a bearing abut one side of the pressure plate. A clutch lever abuts the other side of the pressure plate, and is held from axial removal by a ring having a flexible outer rim. The holding ring is held to the pressure plate by a flange on the sliding sleeve. The clutch lever has a central aperture fitted over a central conical portion of the pressure plate, the aperture having a pair of inwardly directed projections. The outer diameter of the holding ring is greater than the distance between the facing ends of the projections.

摘要： A rolling bearing assembly for lengthwise movement with respect to a shaft has an outer sleeve with internal races, and a cage guiding endless rows of rolling bodies in the bore of the outer sleeve. The cage has a slit extending axially and radially therethrough, and the cage portion aligned with the slit is radially moveable, so that an entire row of rolling bodies adjacent said slit may be radially moved into a race formed in a shaft in the bearing. The sleeve may have a second slit spaced from the first slit. The second slit may be only partial, to define a region of bending, or may extend completely through the outer sleeve to define a segment, with the first slit, that is radially moveable.

摘要： A ball bearing adapted for axial movement on a shaft is comprised of a cage having guideways defining endless paths having axially extending portions for loaded and unloaded balls, and semicircular end portions. An outer sleeve surrounds the central portion of the bearing and defines races for balls in the endless paths. End rings on the axial ends of the bearing radially outwardly cover the semicircular quideway portions. The semicircular guideway portions have outwardly convex bottoms, and the end rings have concave recesses in their inner surfaces aligned with the semicircular guideways. The convex portions of the guideways and the concave portions of the recesses have common centers of curvature extending parallel to the bearing axis and displaced outwardly therefrom.

摘要： In a clutch release bearing assembly for a motor vehicle, the outer ring of a clutch thrust bearing has a flange engaging a radially extending flange of a housing part affixed to a sliding sleeve. This engagement permits play. An elastic ring is held fixed with respect to the outer bearing ring, and has projections extending axially from its internal circumference to engage circular surfaces of recesses of the housing. The circular surfaces of the recesses are joined by straight sections on the housing, whereby the tendency of the sliding sleeve to rotate with respect to the bearing ring effects the radial bending of the tongues, to damp such movement.

The fixed race has a damping ring coupled thereto and contacting the flange on the side toward the rolling elements, and at least three damping members distributed on the circumference of the plate. The plate includes a plurality of recesses, the damping members passing through the apertures in the fixed race and entering the recesses in the plate.
