Abstract: A two-dimensional holographic image projection display method. The method includes illuminating a first modulating part of a spatial light modulator with a first incident light beam at a first incident angle with respect to a direction normal to a main surface of the spatial light modulator to form a first projection region on an imaging plane; and illuminating a second modulating part of the spatial light modulator with a second incident light beam at a second incident angle with respect to the direction normal to the main surface of the spatial light modulator to form a second projection region on the imaging plane. The first projection region abuts or partially overlaps with the second projection region at an interface substantially parallel to a lateral direction of the spatial light modulator.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an optical waveguide and an optical device. The optical waveguide includes a first total reflection surface, a second total reflection surface, at least two transflective films, a first phase retardation film, and a second phase retardation film, each of the transflective films being configured to completely transmit light having a first polarization state, half transmit and half reflect light having a second polarization state, so that reflected light having the second polarization state propagates through the second phase retardation film and the second total reflection surface toward a target, thereby ensuring a transmission angle of the light output to the outside of the optical waveguide to be sufficiently small, which effectively solves the problem of the stray light, ensures the imaging quality, and improves the user's experience.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for calculating a light field distribution in the process of generating a computer-generated hologram, including: performing a three-dimensional modeling to an object for which a hologram is to be generated so as to obtain a three-dimensional model of the object; determining the luminous characteristics of each voxel of the three-dimensional model at various azimuth angles within a viewing angle range of the hologram to be formed; and calculating a light field distribution of the object light wave of each voxel on the holographic plane based on the luminous characteristics of each voxel at various azimuth angles within the viewing angle range of the hologram to be formed. The present disclosure also provides a method and a system for generating a computer-generated hologram.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides in some embodiments a vehicle-mounted head-up display system, including a projector, a diffuser, and an imaging plate. The projector is configured to generate projection light beams in accordance with a to-be-projected image, so as to form a real image of the to-be-projected image at a light-entering surface of the diffuser. The diffuser is configured to expand the light beams and transmit the expanded light beams to the imaging plate. The imaging plate is configured to converge the expanded light beams into an imaging light beam, and transmit the imaging light beam to an interior of a vehicle through a front windshield of the vehicle, so as to form a virtual image of the to-be-projected image on a reverse extension line of the imaging light beam outside the vehicle.
