Abstract: An ultrasound reception apparatus according to one embodiment includes signal processing circuitry. The signal processing circuitry is configured to: acquire first reflected wave data for each channel, the first reflected wave data being generated by chronologically transmitting and receiving ultrasound waves in different transmission directions; perform phasing processing corresponding to a transmission path for each channel with respect to each piece of the first reflected wave data, and generates second reflected wave data; perform addition processing with respect to a plurality of transmission directions for each channel by using the second reflected wave data, and generates third reflected wave data subjected to transmit aperture synthesis; and perform adaptive reception beamforming on the third reflected wave data.

Abstract: A method and system enable to-be-processed medical image data and its corresponding noise characteristic information to be normalized to resemble noise characteristic information of training data used to train at least one neural network for at least one ultrasound data acquisition mode. After normalizing, this processed medical image data is input into the trained neural network for producing output data used for generating cleaner images. Noise characteristic information can be used directly in training a neural network, generating a trained neural network that can handle medical image data with various noise characteristics.

The processing circuitry acquires a change in a display parameter related to image display in a first bloodstream imaging mode of displaying a bloodstream signal acquired by an ultrasonic probe during execution of the first bloodstream imaging mode, and determines whether or not the display parameter after the change is more suitable for a second bloodstream imaging mode than for the first bloodstream imaging mode, an imaging method of the second bloodstream imaging mode differing from an imaging method of the first bloodstream imaging mode.
