Abstract: A synchronization signal generating portion of a transmitter microcomputer generates a synchronization signal that is synchronized with a drive timing of the own microcomputer and also causes to synchronize the drive timing of microcomputers, and transmits to a receiver microcomputer. A timing corrector of the receiver microcomputer is capable of correcting the drive timing of the own microcomputer so as to synchronize with the received synchronization signal, and includes a timing determiner which determines whether the received synchronization signal is normal or abnormal. The receiver microcomputer permits the timing correction if the synchronization signal is determined to be normal in the timing determination, and prohibits timing correction and drives the motor asynchronously with the transmitter microcomputer if the synchronization signal is determined to be abnormal.

Abstract: In a sensor device, microcomputers acquire detection signals from plural sensor sections. A first signal line includes a main line and a sub line, and is capable of bidirectional communication between the sensor section and the microcomputers. A second signal line includes a main line and a sub line, and is capable of bidirectional communication between the sensor section and the microcomputers. A trigger signal is transmitted to the sensor section from the first microcomputer via the main line. A trigger signal is transmitted to the sensor section from the second microcomputer via the main line. Detection of steering torque can be continued in the occurrence of an abnormality in part of the sensor sections or microcomputers.

Abstract: In a system for controlling a controlled variable of a rotary machine having plural-phase input terminals of the rotary machine in which plural-phase AC power is applied from an AC power applying module to the input terminals, a command-voltage setting module sets, based on a request value for the controlled variable, plural-phase AC command voltages for the plural-phase AC power as a feedforward manipulated variable. A current obtaining module obtains plural-phase AC currents flowing in the respective plural-phase input terminals of the rotary machine. An amplitude correcting module corrects the amplitude of at least one of the plural-phase AC command voltages based on the magnitudes of the plural-phase AC currents.
