Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of devices and kits for making barrettes covered with ribbon. One embodiment of a device for making decorated barrettes comprises a base having a substantially planar surface with a first end and a second end opposite the first end, a securing member connected to the substantially planar surface proximate to the first end and configured to secure a barrette and at least one elongated holder connected to the substantially planar surface proximate the second end. The at least one elongated holder comprises a plurality of raised portions extending outward from the substantially planar surface in close proximity to one another to define slits there between configured to retain an individual ribbon.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of devices and kits for making knotted string accessories. One embodiment of a device comprises a base having a substantially planar surface with a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis. A securing member is connected to the substantially planar surface proximate to the first end and is configured to secure a first end of the plurality of individual strings. An elongated holder is connected to the substantially planar surface proximate the second end and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and comprises a plurality of raised portions positioned along the elongated holder and extending outward from the substantially planar surface in close proximity to one another, wherein adjacent raised portions are configured to retain individual strings. An embodiment of a kit comprises the device and a plurality of string for use with the device.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a flexible locating apparatus capable of locating a perimeter of a body with respect to an outer surface of a sheet of material, the body being one of a multitude of body shapes. One embodiment of the apparatus comprises a target member having a main portion and an adjustable component, the adjustable component having a length and at least one securing member. The adjustable component is configured to adjust the length to the body to secure the target member internal with respect to the body with the at least one securing member. A defining member is positionable on an outer surface of the sheet and comprises opposing magnets from the magnets of the first member and a perimeter defining member comprised of more than one template, each template configured to define the perimeter of a different one of the multitude of body shapes.

Abstract: A locating device for locating the centerpoint of a body such as a recessed light fixture behind a ceiling. The device includes an extendable first member connectable in the center of the body and a second member positionable on the outer surface of the ceiling. A magnet positioned in the first member cooperates with a magnet positioned in the second member to maintain the second member in an aligned position with the center of the body. The extendable first member accommodates various size bodies so that the magnet positioned in the first member extends to the ceiling for attraction to the magnet positioned in the second member.

Abstract: A coupling apparatus for adjustably mounting modular tooling members having a base member releasably connectable to a slide mount wherein the base member is adjustably located along a predetermined linear path of travel defined by the slide mount. The base member is rotatably adjustable with respect to a midportion via a pair of matingly engaging contoured surfaces. The contoured surfaces are substantially circular having V-shaped teeth extending radially outward. The V-shaped teeth of the contoured surfaces matingly engage and are secured by fasteners to prevent any radial movement of the midportion with respect to the end member. The midportion may also be rotatably adjustable with respect to an end member along a second centerline axis. The midportion and the end member may be adjustably rotated through a pair of contoured surfaces substantially similar to that provided between the midportion and the base member. The end member provides an aperture for releasably connecting a boom rod to the end member.

Abstract: A clamping apparatus includes a housing and a pivot pin mounted for pivoting movement about an axis of rotation with respect to the housing. A clamp member is connected to the pivot pin and is moveable between a clamped position and a released position in response to rotation of the pivot pin. The pivot pin has an arm extending radially outwardly from the axis of rotation. A drive member is mounted for linear reciprocal movement along a fixed path with respect to the housing, and a linkage connects the drive member to the arm of the pivot pin for converting reciprocal movement of the drive member into pivoting movement of the pivot pin. An electric motor is connected to an output shaft with an axis of rotation, and an adjustable converting mechanism connects the drive member to the electric motor for adjustably converting the rotary motion driving force into a linear reciprocal harmonic motion of the drive member. The adjustable converting mechanism allows the stroke of the linear reciprocal motion to be adjusted. Abstract: A production line which includes a shuttle conveyor extending between two work stations. A first transfer device for transferring a workpiece from one of the work stations to the conveyor and a second transfer device for transferring the workpiece to the second work station are equipped with workpiece gripping or supporting devices which may be rapidly changed when the line is shifted from the production of one form of workpiece to the production of another workpiece having a different configuration. Replacement workpiece gripping devices are supported adjacent the shuttle conveyor upon holding pedestals. Upon line changeover, the transfer devices locate their workpiece gripping devices upon empty holding pedestals and actuating devices on the pedestal release the gripping devices from their transfer devices. The empty transfer devices are then shifted and coupled to new workpiece gripping devices supported on other holding pedestals.
