    摘要: A method of controlling access in a telecommunication network in which a communication medium, such as a set of frequencies, time slots, or codes, is shared among a plurality of mobile units. Transmissions from the mobile units utilize different access modes, such as a direct access mode and a scheduled access mode. Additionally, the transmissions are divided into different communication types, each having an associated priority. A mode access control unit determines for each priority, which access mode to utilize for the associated communication type. Mobile units having data to transmit access the shared communication medium utilizing the access mode determined for the priority of the communication type to which the data belongs.

    摘要: A DS-CDMA cellular system is provided that employs two forward link transmission modes in parallel. A conventional transmission mode broadcasts a pilot channel that can be used by a conventional mobile station to estimate and detect a dedicated traffic channel. The second transmission mode transmits (via a sectorized or narrow lobe antenna system) all information required by a new generation mobile station to estimate and detect a traffic channel dedicated to that mobile station. Consequently, DS-CDMA system operators can introduce the use of adaptive array antenna systems or distributed antenna systems with new generation mobile stations, without terminating the use of the conventional mobile stations.

    摘要: Differentiated Handling of Data Traffic with Adaptation of Network Address Lookup In a method of differentiated handling of data traffic, the data traffic is related to a network resource and is preceded by a lookup procedure for obtaining a network address of the network resource. A message of the lookup procedure is processed for adapting the lookup procedure. Due to the adaptation, the lookup procedure returns a network address of a replacement network resource. The replacement network resource is capable of replacing the network resource in communication of data packets of the data traffic. On the basis of the network address of the replacement network resource, differentiated handling of the data packets in said communication with the replacement network resource is accomplished.

A first application of a mobile station communicates with a second application via a first network, resulting in the setup of an IMS session between the mobile station and the 3PSP. A network service address of at least one network service, provided by the first operator IMS network, is inserted into a SIP message of the IMS session in a session managing node of the first operator IMS network and delivered to the 3PSP, where it is forwarded to the second application. If required, the second application may access the one or more network services via the first network, using the retrieved network address.
